Yeah, I don't think I've ever paid fees for things delivered by USPS.  I know it can happen but it seems like a pretty rare thing?

the tracking has not changed all day!  it's either on a plane between scans, or it is still in Japan!  I am bummed out - can;t wait to hear these things.  will have irrational hpe again tomorrow that they'll magically arrive so i can let all you guys know how they sound, and whether i'll keep none, one or both the 100s and 200s!

Happy holidays!

Relax fzman. I'm willing to guarantee you will love one (if not) both of them.

I can see why everyone is ordering through Amazon Japan + Tenso. These are expensive as hell on eBay. Yes, I've been looking. :-)

I you want a more neutral IEM (meaning bass presence but great tamed down from the FXZ100) with superb forward vocals, great smooth mids and nice smooth extended highs, the BA200 would be more of an excellent IEM for you. It's might be the best dual BA I've heard (even beating the SM2 - although the SM2 had a bit more bass). And the dual dynamic TDK IE800 is just as good (with a bit more bass). Still, those two are princes in the IEM world whereas the FXZ100 is a KING!

I recently got given a pair of TDK MT-300's (they are on sale in Xscargo in Canada for $5, and a fellow head-fi'er shipped me a pair to try out). Anyway, they are blowing my mind, and your description of the TDKBA200 incredibly sounds like how I would describe these cheapies. So, I don't doubt that the BA200 and IE800 are pretty amazing.

Yeah, I've been reading your take. Might have to hunt down a pair. Keep those impressions rolling sir.

Wonder if they'll be as good for what I listen to as the now somewhat hyped hybrids out and about to come out.

Well, I didn't last long. I think I did everything correctly ordering from amazon through tenso. The wait won't be too excruciating. It's not like I don't have other headphones like the HA-S500 around...

I could have sworn the sub bass on the FXZ200 had more quantity over the Sony XB90EX. But the Sony actually has more..So while the sub bass is strong with the FXZ200 the Sony's retain the title of bass kings. However the sub level is very similar when volume matched. The Sonys being much easier to drive.

A bit less sub bass from the monsters that are the XB90EX is a good thing actually.

yeah that is good. I have my xb90ex eq-d down by 3 db in the bass department as my ideal sound and now have good impression as how the fxz200 will sound bass quantity

DS, how do the mids and treble of the FXZ100 compare to the XBA3 in terms of volume sharpness etc?
