Don't bring your crying wallet to the forums if you purchase over 4 cheap headphones in amazon.co.jp, lol XD

No, that's what I meant.  It wasn't until about 8 hours after showing as being received on my Amazon tracking number that it showed as pending in Tenso. Now I've paid tenso so it's no longer pending.

To those who have gotten stuff through Tenso:

What was the value declared on the EMS envelope vs the real value of the envelope's content?

Some of us midwest folk need to get together at some point.  I'm in Minneapolis.

Yes, us mid-westerners have to make this happen. Some type of meet-n-greet and listen would be awesome!

Can tenso mark a lower price during international shipping to evade custom charges

Never asked them and never thought about asking them. Why don't you write them and see.?

It shows in my prepared to ship status as the value paid from Amazon on the invoice.  I can understand how small retailers would be willing to do (if shipping uninsured) that but I highly doubt a service like this would be willing - this is all they do and they ship a large number of packages, it probably would sink their business for fraud in short order.

EDIT: I see here they tout the ability to change package value as a benefit of Tenso - http://lolireference.blogspot.com/2012/10/tensocom.html

Looking further though it seems Tenso only allows this if it comes to them unvalued?  They imported the price from Amazon.jp, I don't recall seeing the ability to edit that value.

EDIT #2: Perhaps you can before you pay for it by editing the invoice info: http://www.tenso.com/en/guide/mypage/index.html

Although that may not be accepted as noted: "We cannot process your shipment in the following cases:... The price you list differs from the products market price... In the event that the real price of a product is undeterminable due to it being a gift, used or bought at an auction, it is the customer's responsibility to price it according to the current market price."

Thanks for explaining, So the former assumption was correct. Though it does not make sense, it is like that for some reason. As explained, I ordered the fxz100s on amazon and it delivered to tenso on the same day. It took until a day later that it had pending items. It came 5 hours before tenso's business hours were over. Weird delay I would say.

Dont know if this helps but the tenso ems insurance is free for items below the value of 19,000 yen.  On amazon jp the fxz200 are like 18,800 yen. so you dont have to pay insurance on them.

So tempted to take them up on their free international shipping offer... seems like the handling fee for this would be only 490 JPY (~$6 USD) for up to 1.0kg.
