JVC HA-FXZ 100/200 - Page 56

I would suspect source, DAC/Amping and bitrate will have a lot to do with how the 200 will sound!

Well, those of us that have had Carbon Nanotube Technology for a few months know the benefits of refinement that "drum and bass" burn in can bring to the JVC's latest offerings!

So I've been tip rolling and ironically I've found that the tips that works best for me on the FXZ100 (I mean really milks every ounce of sound in the entire sound spectrum and tightens that already tight bass even more) are the same tips that brought out the best in the JVC FX40. Those tips are the extra large - and wide - Sennheiser double-flanges. I would rank these tips first in allowing the FXZ100 to fully shine - plus giving me the best isolating seal. After those tips, the large Auvios do it for me. Just sharing a little bit more about my probably my favorite universal now (with the W4 lagging just a tiny bit behind).

I plan on using my pristine white custom mold silicone Aurisonics tips.....they have worked on every IEM that I have used them with.....very comfortable, flexible, perfect fit, with a large bore...ala FXD80, RE272!

I was going to wait for ericp10's impressions for the FXZ200 vs AS-2, but my friend is in Japan now. So... im-patience waits for no man...

Where can you buy them in Japan and which place would be the cheapest place to get them?

How is the Isolation and how much bass to they have? Is it comparable to the FX700?

I just had a terrible thought however. Don't want to rain on anyone's parade but I have my fingers crossed that the headphone gods will bless your purchases. As I have no idea how to return this stuff if something was to go wrong. I know JVC has a warranty on the products but as far as returning stuff to Amazon/Japan. I have no idea. I suppose you can request a return on their English version and return them to Japan within a month much like the US version of Amazon. But don't know 100%. Any one have any experience returning stuff to Amazon Japan?
Uhh, for electronics I'm pretty sure they only accept returns from Japanese address. And they only accept UNOPENED stuff. https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/help/customer/display.html?ie=UTF8&nodeId=1039614&pop-up=1

Just wondering, as far as the fxz200 being called a basshead pair, do you mean audiophile bass (people who like completely flat music would say this is a lot of bass), or straight up basshead (fx1x, fx3x, cks77, xb90ex levels?).

Thanks

Don't forget to bring your jukebox money! Since the fxz100 found its soundstage music of the year in my opinion.

In Spotify, the stage sounds a lot more intimate, everything sounds airier, and the people are livelier, but the youtube video is second hand, so expect it to not be the greatest fulfillment of our lives.

I would call them exquisite bass earphones. Way more superior than any of the ones you listed. The CKS1000 would be a higher end continuation of that sound. These FXZ200 would be something completely new. You don't get this type of refinement in traditional bass earphones. These have a big stage like the earphones listed and that might be the only thing that is similar but the sound that fills out that stage is what is different on these FXZ200.

Much more dynamic in space imagery. What I mean by this is. You know your listening to some truly dynamic sounds when you can not only hear the splash of the crash or high hat but clearly make out how deep it sounds at the same time. Hence the 3Dness of the sound. I suppose you can call it superior resolution in the sounds. Perhaps the extra materials have something to do with this. These make you realize just how much sound that your older phones are lacking in..When we talk about refinement..Vocals not only have full range but it has some real conviction and power. Vocals sound deep and natural.. Just astounding how vocals sound on the FXZ200.. I haven't even touched on how much more dynamic the subs are compared to your standard low end in bass earphones. You add all these together and you get the FXZ200.

The quality is unmatched but quantity wise hmm. I would have to say more closer to the XB90EX. I will have to do an A/B tomorrow to see. Sub bass is unreal on these. Just down right dirty..Though like I mentioned earlier the bass has tightened up since burning them in. Bass presence is still there but much more tighter and even better controlled.

So Amazon claims my 200s were delivered at 1:40 JST.  I see nothing in Tenso, is this typical that they don't put something in the system until the next day after receipt?
