JVC HA-FXZ 100/200 - Page 150

I stated about a week ago here that the 100 isn't far off from 200 (I would say 90 percent if not a little more than 90 percent), And that's mainly speaking of the bass. Yet, they aren't the same either. The 100 is naturally more balanced, but you can make the 200 balanced by finding the right tip and insert combination. It will be more balanced, but that massive (and more) bass will be there. I love both, but don't need both. And there was no excuse. Dude is begging for the 200 after I let him audition them. He's going to pay full price too (well, I shaved off some of the shipping cost because we're friends ... lol). In other words, if he wants me to live awhile without the 200, he must pay for it (I was trying to sell him the 100, and he would've bought those but stressed how much he wanted the 200 instead. By the way, he is a major basshead, but he agrees that these aren't basshead earphones, but earphones a basshead can love).

Oh and i have never thanked you for your random but pretty insistent plug/ rec of those SHE9700s in Ds' discovery thread (if i remember right), was able to get 2 like-new sets off amazon for like ~$4 shipped, best audio deal ever! Their J-cord wire/ easy to insert tips makes them heavenly for running. Oh yeah and they sound fantastic of course. beerchug.gif

I have them right now and like eric said above, they are more balanced. reminds me a bit of the xba3 balance but much better bass and no metallic highs. smoothest highs ever, they make the smooth xb90s sound sibilant in comparison.

as for the she9700, i dont know why they dont get more attention. enjoy

Well, my FXZ200 is officially sold. My co-worker wanted them so badly that he actually gave me part of my shipping on them too (without asking him to). So I only lost about $15 on them (which is well worth the time I've spent with them). They will still be ranked best dynamic universal I've heard until I hear something better. Again, I'm content as long as I still have the FXZ100, my V6, and my TDKs (and just had the TDK MA600 roll in today).

It's finally done. I overslept this morning and ended up skipping school entirely, so I had the day to finish it up.

I thought he liked it but it's character didn't agree with or offer him enough over his others. I don't think we'll all ever own the same IEMs.wink_face.gif

I have 200+ hours on the 200's so they are fully broken-in. Treble smoothed out a bit, bass is nice and detailed. No soundstage whatsoever. Vocals and some instruments sound as if they are in your head, the remainder is strickly left-right stuff. No sense of listening in front of the musicians, instead, you are placed right in with them. Not good. IMO that is the biggest and near fatal flaw of the 200's. Not sure why I haven't sold them yet. Maybe just too lazy or perhaps hopeful I will get used to the lack of a soundstage....

So 25 straight days of 24/7 playing will make my headphones sound better?   You guys crack me up with this "Burn in stuff", Can you point me in a direction to a review stating after 600 hrs of " Burn in" my headphone suck?   I never seen a " Burn in" Thread saying the IEM/Headphones got worse..  Makes you wonder, Eh?

People actually have reported headphones gettong worse with burn in. The most recent being the AKG K167.
