JVC HA-FXZ 100/200 - Page 148

I jet paid for my 200's at Tenso a few minutes ago. Here's the fee breakdown from Tenso (shipping to USA):

Weight : 380 g
EMS shipping fee : 1500 yen
Service fee : 490 yen
EMS insurance : 0 yen (insured)

Note that EMS insurance was no additional charge. So roughly $22 total.

So far, it has been a painless process. I'll let you guys know when they get here.

Just a disclaimer... I broke down and purchased the 200's based on recommendations here. I also purchased the gr07 be. Depending on my comparison I will return the gr07 or put my jvc's up for sale here.

I'm hoping the jvc's sound better!

hard choice since they don't really sound similar. the gr07 is more of  cappucino compared to a dark roast fxz200.. they both taste good but their taste is really different and hard to prefer one or the other.

though i am willing to take the gr07 off your hands if you ever decide on that

Candurin, both of the headphone you bought require burnin. Make you sure you give each about 75hrs of burnin before you decide which on you like.

The GR07 will need it to tame the treble and the FXZ200 will need it to tame the bass.

this is my version of 'how i spent my summer vacation"  This rig was at the other end of my FXZ200 cable at breakfast this morning.  THe AQ cable is too long, but sounds mega-yummy.

You know I've seen some ask why one FXZ200 cheaper than what someone else paid for it or more. If you order from Amazon.jpn, prices will very not only if Amazon reduces the price sometimes, but also base on how the yen fluctuates up or down compared to the US dollar on any given week. So you can't really expect to get one set price for these IEMs, You have to shop around.

Very true.  In all the days I debated over pulling the trigger, the price fluctuated from $198 - $202 (based on 17,833 Yen).  I just checked my card statement and I paid $199.17 USD.

Having said that, technically if you were to resell at $225, you'd essentially be breaking even.

I do know that both need burning in, but I'll need to return my GR07 BE within 3 more weeks to get my money back (amazon).  I really have no doubt that the JVC's will be better, but I am more worried about comfort (the GR07 with the comply TS tips are super comfortable over the ear, or straight down).

I just wish I didn't see the xb90ex's they look pretty damn tempting too.  As long as the JVC's are comfy, I'm sure I'll be happy (I really do prefer bass heavy rock and I watch a lot of ipad movies in my international flights).

Either IEM will get a proper 1 week burn in (I will set it and forget it for a week) with various bass heavy music.

No matter what, I can't thank everyone enough for reviews and recommendations.

I want to hear this band in the FXZ200s so bad!

Hey guys just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for different ear tips for the 200's. Loving the sound quality out of these but my ears start to feel a little uncomfortable. I tried the sony hybrids but they messed up the sound since their nozzle is smaller than the ones on the 200s so just wondering if there are any alternatives out there that don't mess up the sound signature but provide better comfort? Thanks.

Anybody know where these tips come from? I can't figure it out. These are winners though. Full body of sound from bass to treble; very forward yes nice soundstage. Tips barely covers nozzle of earphone.

They look like the big single flange tips on this set on the left top corner?

Meelec variety pack. I use them tips on my XB90. Will try them on the Z200 and report back tomorrow.

Nah Dsnuts, they're thicker and the top is "flatter" than he Meelecs. Plus, I've never owned any black Meelecs.

Wow, techno meets deathcore, never heard them before. Not really my type of music, but appealing. And yes, they sound great through the 200's!
