Quick question: does the Muses01 and 02 plugs in directly into the DDS1?

Yes. The socket is the same as SDT but there are two of them.

Wait, two OpAmp at the same time?  How?

Left and right channels are separated.

You can see from the picture above (top left corner of each unit) that each DDS1 need two OpAmp.

By the way, those VC case is very nice. It fit perfectly on my DDS1 LE.

Yes you are right :
SM 627 is a bit harsh and bass a bit boomy
Muse 02 bass is tighter and faster speed .more balance than Muse 01
Muse 01 is like Muse 02 , but less bass impact

I use Muse 01 for my Go Dap DD1 9 Volt Edition

AnakChan prefer muses 01 over 02

im lost lol,how are they different to each other...........

I am sorry make you confuse
In go dap DD1 9 volt I prefer muse 01 than muse 02
But
In go dap DD1 12 Volt LE , muse 02 sound better than muse 01

Because I am to lazzy to change the op amp ,that's why I bought 3 sets Go Dap DD1
For my favourite op amps biggrin.gif

Muse 01 SQ is slightly smoother than muse 02
Some times to smooth for my taste biggrin.gif
With less impact in bass section and faster speed and more detail

This is my IMO

Got my second DD Socket 1. This one has the MUSES02 opamp:

This bundle deal was well worth the price. The mini to mini and 30 pin cables are a huge bonus at that price. I don't have much time yet on the new DD, but first impressions against my original OP-275 DD is that it 's a little warmer. I imagine the cables have helped with this as well, but it also seems a little clearer than the OP-275 DD. I am going to have to spend some time ABing them to see if the difference is truly significant.

Another thank you goes out to DrSheep for advertising the bundle offer on Rakuten.

NP, and it's nice to see that they even use a different color bag and ties for the bundle.  Don't for get that they still have a couple of "defective" DDS1 on sale for $150 from their Rakuten site.

And when he says "defective" he means "I can't find a single mark or blemish on this unit". I ordered mine from the Rakuten site on the 2nd. It arrived in my hands yesterday. Anyone with even a passing thought should pick one of these up as soon as possible!

I got my Muses01 op-amps in the mail yesterday and promptly opened my Socket 1. I was instantly awash in power and clarity. What a massive upgrade to an already amazing product. I was starting to find the highs to be a little bit strident at times and sometimes just a little bit sibilant. Now I have lush power and clear details from top to bottom without any harshness.

Congrats. What amp are you using together with your DD? Is yours the blue 9V version or black 12V LE version?

Blue 9V. I got one of the "cosmetically defective" blue ones off of Rakuten. I would love to have gotten the LE version, but you can't beat $150

Good price...what amp are you using it with?

Edit: Just FYI, each Muses01 is about about $34.40 street price. So with two is just shy of $70. So $150 with 2xMuses01 is actually quite decent pricing. Yes it's true VentureCraft probably got the OpAmps cheaper if they bought bulk, but still a nice thought :D.
