It is o k to hook to your BHSE , I hooked already my sr 003 mk2 to my Stax amp

Srm 727 mk 2 sound was like 70 % my sr 007 mk2 , sound must be fantastic hook on your BHSE biggrin.gif

I have always used single use ones with the SR-001 MK2, for some reason never thought about rechargeables. Folks seem to find differences with using rechargeables in other amps from what I read also.

Looking forward to someone giving these SR-002 a direct A/B to the SR-001MK2. The fit sure looks nice, not that the old version bothers me much.

We try to use rechargeable battery for safe the cost to buy one use battery as first reason for us
That's why we try many type of rechargeable battery to find better SQ for our Stax sr 002

For one us battery the best one is from everyday .

The different between sr 001 mk 2 vs sr 002

Sr 001 mk2 :
High : is not so sparkle like sr 002,
Mid : is thicker than sr 002
Bass : is to big and for some music is to much

Sr 002 :
High : is more open and sparkle compare sr 001 mk2
Mid : is sweet and clearer ,
Bass : quality is better than sr 001 mk 2 , more detail, and
Not so big , is neutral
Soundstage : more 3 D compare sr 001 mk2
Separation : is better to sr 001 mk 2 , has better tranciant
Because they use new thiner membrane .
Better clarity and transparency

Something of an over simplification, but the S-001mk2 / SR-003 is more like the SR-007 in tonal balance. From what I've heard, the SR-002 / SR-003mk2 is more like the SR-009.

Sr 003 mk2 + Srm 252 s:

It's more like sr 009

If I'm not mistaken, the SR-002 and SR-003mk2 are the same earphone, just with different terminations right? The main difference in what you're hearing is probably a result of the amp feeding it and also the source feeding the amp. It's not too surprising that the portable version would be slightly handicapped compared to the home version.

Yes you are right
Sr 002 and sr 003 mk 2 are the same iems with different plug

What I mean sound different because of the amp section .

These SR-002 must be down to about 1.2 - 1.3 microns then. 

 

SR-001MK2 were at 1.5 microns. ( SR-001 were 2.0 )

It will be cool if Audiocubes stocked the two types of detachable cables still (the pro-bias termination for use on the desktop stat amps and the SRM-001 portable headamp termination).
