i think about the DT1350,,,

there is a better option?

very important that it will be small and comfort!

HD25 if using EQ. ES10 but outside your budget at $400. The best trance phone will not typically be the best phone for rock. The HD25 handles both well and can be a great trance phone if you bump the bottom end with EQ. I use the default "electronic music" EQ on my RME Babyface and they sound fantastic with trance. 

 

w/o EQ you will be hard-pressed to find a better portable for both genres. The Beyer is a bit finicky (placement) and won't have the bass for trance, IMO. I grow my hair out in the winter as I ice-climb (warmer head!) and find that the Beyer headband yanks a lot of hair. 

 

Edit: Don't underestimate the advantage of the isolation provided by the HD25. They're almost as isolating as IEMs and nearly perfect as portables go (durability, isolation, "do-all" genres). My iPhone 4 and 5 drive it decent, but if you listen loud you'll need 8/10 minimum on volume. They're reasonably efficient but can handle a lot of power from a console or a integrated receiver, etc.

I can only think HD25 or ESW9, different sound charateristics though
