The Fostex Kotori 101 and 201 have almost nothing on them

1000

Sony uses magnesium in their higher end headphones, a few examples: MDR-R10, MDR-SA5000 and MDR-MA900 (chronologically ascending order).

So what do you guys don't like about the TH900's cup?

This

 ("FOSTEX")

and this

1000 (* "TH600")

Is all we need of logos on the, Fostex TH600:

To be honest, I am not "Japanized" enough to appreciate the Urushi finish, to me the whole color combination with black headband, black cable, dark red doesn't go together.  If it was more like chrome/silver/aluminum yoke with silver colored leather headband then I will appreciate more.

Just by looking at it without knowing Japanese heritage this headphone looks cheap, so cheap, maybe in $100 to $200 range headphone max.(Sorry).

Again this is strictly "IMO" that I wanted to share, if you like it then that's fine, I am happy for you. :)

There really is no accounting for taste but this is cringeworthy.

I hope Fostex sell them for under $1000 because TH900 is currently at $1599.

Black and Red goes great together.  These headphones are beautiful just beatiful I would love to have them in my stable.  IMO they should put the white "FOSTEX" on the side of the black cups as well.

I don't even understand this... colour combinations don't have anything to do with japanese heritage as far as i can tell... black and red is a fairly popular combination everywhere. :/

The logo is achieved by applying platinum foil. It just looks white in the photos.

I think having FOSTEX in chrome, 3-5mm tall would look great. Like the old DENON on the Dxxxx series.

Yape, red and black goes well, if it was bright red ;) But I stated that it was black and "dark red".

I don't think I said the color combination (dark red and black) is specific to Japanese heritage but Urushi finish. ;)
