$1200 is quite a lot of money. If it had a wood finish like the D7000(not the hideous TH900 finish) I'd be inclined. As it is if I had that much money be angling towards a few other headphones(HD800, LCD2, W5000), even if none will have the same kind of sound.

 

Guess I'm hoping for a TH300.

Yeah, how much for the ugly unfinished looking headphone that has the exact same sound as the $2000. model, i'll have one of those, I don't look at myself in the mirror while listening to music anyway!rolleyes.gif

There's no accounting for taste, but the TH900 is stunning in the flesh IMO. The only photos I've seen that do it justice were taken by Jude here: http://www.head-fi.org/g/i/528172/sort/display_order/

let's hope they keep it that way...all black, I mean. And not just the prototype. I'd hate to see the final product come out with FOSTEX printet all over and a lot of bling-bling. this thing looks very good as it is.
