I don't want another open can... well actually I do. I wouldn't mind the X as an upgrade to my HE 400 but LAWL seeing as teh HE 6 is cheaper... I might skip the X [or not actually as I need a new amp for the HE 6] so that said... TO EXPENSIVE. The only headphone to warrent spending upwards of 2,000 is something that would UPGRADE MY FREAKING w1000x -.- [which will soon be balanced]

you and your w1000x lol... have you looked into the w3000 or w5000? and the he6... i dont know, from reviews, im kinda scared that it will sound harsh on the high end... im saving up now and im thinking of getting the he500 maybe around christmas time. if i do buy the he500, that should be my first entry into the higher end side of headphones...

Yea the HE 6 is on my list. A few ppl have mentioned with a TON of dynamt and open ports teh w1000x ends up sounding like an HE 6 [lacking the sub bass and some smoothness] non the less the HE 6 might be the only option here

the w3000 is to mid heavy. And I have no clue about the W5000 honestly... I'd have to hear it first. And once I mod it I have no idea if I could even resell it [I'm sure I could] either way a new W5000 +L3000 pads [if needed] would still run me around the price of a used HE 6 or T1 imo so...

If you attach some wheels to it then it should not be too bad. Out of the box though they are pretty hard to drive yes.

Here's some more impressions that involve the XC:

Honestly, I needed more quiet than was available to give these three excellent headphones a proper comparison.  It was kind of noisy. The XC was fun to listen to also - it seemed very similar but with a little of the closed headphone sound (not much) and and slightly more bass.

Compared to all the Audeze, when I put the HD650 back on, they seemed very colored to me, which I really never noticed before.

Are there any prices for the new headphones from Audeze?

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but can anyone say what 'LCD' stands for? And 'X/XC'-- something, 'closed'? We encounter so many letters and numerals in musical products, and they are rarely given full explanation. You would think there would be more imaginative names for all of these headphone products. (I like the nicknames of the top AT line: 'Grandioso,' 'Japan,' etc). Thanks in advance.

Liquid Crystal Display-10 and 10 Color, just like the iPhone 5 and 5C.

Naw, no one knows.

I assume the "C" stands for "closed" but other than that I do not know.

Actually, I  have a Audio GD 10ES2, which CAN drive the HE6. Does it do it as well as others NOPE but it's not half terrible. That said... I'll end up with an LCD X before I get an HE 6... as I want to upgrade to at least an AGD NFB 10.33 Ref Model, b4 I grab an HE 6

Actually... now that i Look at it im guesing ill be passing on the audenze brand.

Not that i dont want those, but they are far too expensive. For that price... Somehow I feel more inclined for a Sennheiser HD800...

Me too, I'd rather grab an HE-6.
