The main reason i ask is beouse i really wanted a good planar closed hp, either around the ear or IEM, bot for now the options seem very limited.

Id love to be able to go on the bus rocking the Audenze ... I already do that with the HE-400 but someday someone is bound to get pissed off by them.

Look into the Mad Dogs for a temporary solution IMO. I'd guess that these are at least a 6 months away.

+1 to that. If you get the latest version, they hold their value well and you won't lose a lot selling them off when it's time to upgrade.

The Audeze representative told me at the LA Head-Fi meet today that these would be available "by this holiday season" and to expect a big announcement from Audeze about all the info soon. If anyone else asked more in depth about these please post. That's all the information I managed to get from him. Now to wait it out I guess.

Umm yea , I remember Alex stated that they would launch the "C-LCD" when the time is right as in when they are satisfied with the final sound.

"Holiday Season" might be a reasonable guess :)

Am arranging a TH900 and W3000ANV demo for next month but have to say the photos look tasty

On this level I think "beat" is not applicable. They will be great, just different instead of better. They will do some things better and some things worse.

Yeah, to be honest and i mean this with all respect to Audeze, but I would be shocked if these "beat" the TH-900 given all the experience Fostex has making closed cans and all the R&D put into them. Maybe a second gen, but i doubt the first gen will get there.

Totally different sound I reckon. Most likely will have that thick/warm house sound, which will attract a different crowd.

That would be a wise move on their part, yes.

Considering LCD2 already sounds like a closed headphone, I have high hopes that a closed lcd will be all the benefits of a closed headphone with the same closed sound of the lcd2.  :P
