This may be a very simple question and I just can't find the answer, but here goes...
Current setup: Desktop computer with onboard sound, old logitech z2300 speakers, and some ATH-AD700 headphones.
I'm thinking about upgrading my soundcard to the Xonar STX because my onboard isn't great (and I think is crapping out anyways) and so I can get the headphone amp.
My question though: Is there any way to switch between speakers and headphones in software for the Xonar?
Right now I switch out between speakers and headphones depending on what I'm doing. My speakers have a separate volume controller with a headphone jack which is convenient but of course un-amped. I'd like to be able to switch between speakers and amped headphones without having to crawl under my desk and plug in my headphones though.
Solutions?
