What problem are you having?
sound doesn't coming out...I think problem with the connection between ipod and the LOD cable.
I think almost broke that ipod hole.
Was it the cable that came with the CLAS? Have you tried making sure both ends are clean?
yes, i check. Now I tried to use old LOD usb cable into ipod it's hard to put the cable, use to easier. but thank god still works. it's scary to try that again though.
I call AoL the other day and they said its okay to use ipod classic 160. but now I don't know..

So it's the cable.....good, no GREAT! I have a cable being built for me. If you'd like the details send me a PM. There are lots of reasons for my decision to go with a custom. One of which is that it will be more secure and not stick out like what comes stock.
How are you liking the sound now that can listen to it?
I didn't get any info from anywhere other than my ears. By better I am not referring to graphs and all that jazz but what I hear.
When I had the HP-P1, I listened to my iPod with iBasso D12 and the difference between the two was not too big to convince me to keep the Fostex. It's a great product for the price but it has never put a smile on my face like the old CLAS and the new CLAS did.
What is better at the CLAS is its clarity, instrument separation, quality of the bass and the highs. I don't think it's entirely neutral but it is a whole lot more musical than the HP-P1. I was hoping that it would better the old CLAS but I seriously wasn't expecting this big of an improvement. That being said, I don't know how much of this is affected by my choice of the amp and the phones. I am using primarily my custom in ear monitors. There's such a thing as synergy, maybe with different phones HP-P1 can yield better results than the CLAS, I don't know. But to me, it wasn't a small difference.
I think paying something like $700 for a portable product is a big thing but I honestly don't think for a moment to sell it and get something else. I'll try the M8 when it comes out and hopefully it's better than the CLAS but right now I think I am done with buying gears for a while.
Lately I was in need of finding a good DAP for going to cafe shops. My desktop rig is awesome and it satisfies me but not so my portable rig. So I tried iBasso DX100. Awesome product and great sound. Battery life sucked and the popping noise that each time I turned it on was a big no to me. Again, there's not much to criticize that product. It's just excellent but I needed something that I could use with my iPod and iPad, as well as with my Macbook Air as a USB DAC. And then I tried RoCoo BA. Terrible. And then Colorfly C3, pretty good but didn't like the UI. And then Hifiman HM-601. Great sound but something was missing.
Now I am completely satisfied with the rig that I have in my signature. I can use this with my desktop setup from the CLAS' coaxial out. Change different amps to get different flavors and use it in conjunction with my computer to make use of services like MOG and Spotify.
Does this answer your question? If not, let me know.
What exactly does that mean, "more musical?"
It's one of those stupid audiophile jargon that I used for the lack of a better word. By musical I mean more engaging and resolving where if you're reading a book at the same time, you go back and re-read what you just read because the music takes the attention of your brain so forcefully. Also another way of describing it would be to say that you just want to start air drumming in the middle of a crowded coffee shop, or at least keep up with the kick drums with your legs.

Yes I did have some taste of it...but not too much I didn't really find the difference compare to previous solo. Little disappointment, but I need more time to
listen in order to make definite sign.

X2 Well put and agree 100%.

X2,
I likes what I likes, and don't likes what I don't likes? hhmmm go figure, I quit over analyizing it all? and you think that's air that your breathing, hhmmm interesting, lol, I can tend to skip the basics, which make sure that I'm enjoying all of the hub bub here on Head-Fi!
iPod Classic 7th gen>CLAS>L3>ZOv1>ASG-1.2s, my therapy that hangs around my neck with a strap, bundled up in a camera pouch, my soulonic tonic! lol
