Favrite price promotion for Hisound’s upcoming new Nova player

Retrias I wanted to take some things back I said on the X30. I'm now listening to it with a lower GB micro SD card (32GB) and I must say it is noticeably better than it initially was. The 64 GB card was really making a loud noise on both units and even more louder on the X30 for some reason. So I cannot recommend 64 GB SDXC cards with these units as it is too noisy IMO. Whats more funny is I tested out 2 64 GB Mirco SDXC cards and one of them actually produced louder noise on the N1 than the other one did.... Bizarre...

Personally the X30 isn't bad and it also can get pretty loud depending on the tracks. So I wanted to give the unit more credit than I did earlier. It actually is better sounding IMO than a Sansa Fuze. It is more lively and dynamic. The N1 on the other hand still appears to be the more detailed player. How it presents the music is more so in an effortless way if you take my meaning (more refined). A sweeter sound. But I have to admit for $30.00 the X30 isn't bad either.

But there is more to the story. The unit I received seems to be defective. I cannot power it on without plugging it into a USB slot and when I power it off it doesn't retain any of the settings I input on the device. I simply don't get it. This is the 3rd time I have received a defective unit from Teclast, in a row....... I pretty much cannot recommend this brand based on these experiences alone. Longevity wise I just don't see the devices lasting very long, their name is an oxymoron lol. :p. "Because the Tec no seem to last .... In terms of sound quality I'll give it some credit. But the Sflo2 is the better sounding unit IMO. So Teclast hasn't gone back to their roots of yesteryear. Still for a device of it's size, I am still rather impressed with its sound quality as well.

Comparing the N1 and X30 in terms of build quality the N1 is clearly better. It feels sturdier and looks to be of high quality (the feel and finish). While the X30 feels cheap and more fragile. But to be fair can we really expect much more for its asking price?

Its 30 bucks ? Cant complaint that much if its that cheap i guess, more like a throwaway player , so unless you want some noises in between you should use cards less than 64 gb ? Lee how did you format your card, like how did you arrange the folder , and did it show up correctly on the music menu , with tag based browsing active

Just curios why 64G produces higher level of hiss/noise than 32G?
Did you fill up the 64G (only less tha 50 Mb free space)  or you just used half of of the capacity?
Can you describe the characteristic of the noise ?

It just appears to show up in folder view in which I just see the actual names of the files themselves. Not so sure on tags properly showing up. I recommend you all ask hisound to implement that on a firmware update. The folder view is separate from he Music folder which is a bit odd.

I don't know why it is louder. But it makes a loud vibrating-type noise that is separate from the hiss on this unit. I've heard this same noise from the screen when the screen was on and it seemed the battery was low. The difference being this noise is even louder with the 64 GB card and it is constant. I can hear it with music playing which is very annoying. Not the case with smaller cards such as 32 GB cards.

It is probably on the dock in Singapore or in the air. More than likely not in the United Kingdom. I am positive if it were in the hands of HisoundUK it would be on the way here. His eBay feedback shows a very motivated seller.

Yeah, the tracking info they gave me showed that it was "forwarded for export" in Singapore 8 days ago on the 4th. Doesn't make sense that it would take so long.

I often buy parts for my old Honda Civic from Malaysia and can track them clear across the Pacific. Usually takes 3 days to reach Seattle. But they ship via FedEx, DHL or UPS. The U.K.s Royal Mail is stretched pretty thin across the globe so it will take a while ....

Singapore and China are probably having a celebration for their New Years and the U.K. has snow so I'll wait.

Let us know what you find inside. I am wondering what Hard Drive and voltage it is running. Would be nice to upgrade to an SSD drive.

lmao you're not serious right?. The player is tiny, Tango. I'm quite positive it is using a memory chip similar to micro SD cards :). A SSD would be bigger than the player itself :p.
