Yep, but flexibility is limited . I prefer graphic EQ i.e I mean with a true graph, where you can set frequency you want and so on.

The one from xnor doesn't deserve the name of "Graphic Equalizer"

No, that's what a graphic EQ should be. You're thinking of a parametric EQ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parametric_EQ#Parametric_equalizer vs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphic_equalizer#Graphic_equalizer). 31-band Graphic EQ is a very common device in the pro-sphere.

But yeah, I think the EQ thing has a dualistic peeve - first that all EQs are created equal, and second that all EQ is bad because some EQ are bad.

I dont seem to understand why the foobar eq is considered to be so bad. Someone care to explain?

this is because the eq does very steep steps, not a smooth graph
