I've never been to Be'er Sheva but it is right smack in the desert, so I can imagine a lot of asthmatics over yonder.

Then you guys wonder why I publish so infrequently. All the philosphical feces is hemoglobinly redound. Waxing poetic is fanciful,...talking serious is just assuaging it for me. Behindhand!!!

This is probably the newest superhero posted in this thread - and it came from Pakistan...

burka avenger.jpg

The "Burka Avenger" was a 'net sensation when it was first aired in July 2013. And that takes me to why I am including it in my set of superheros - NOT because she is a political/religious statement, but because she is a superhero that was created specifically as a media sensation - and it was incredible successful. Everyone from CNN to NPR picked-up the story and ran with it. Social marketing at it's best!

She's a ninja? eek.gif

Sort of - she has been trained in "Takht Kabaddi" which seems to be a fictional martial art that involves throwing books and pens as weapons. Apparently, that makes sense in Pakistan...

Apparently it makes sense in Japan as well.

This is Read Or Die. R.O.D for short.

Wow, that's a pretty bold animation. I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing!

I heard from a source (no, not tomato sauce) thay soy is only good if it's fermented for human consumption.

So, if you find it's good for you, you're not human.

And, with soy, you get lotsa estrogen, good for females in menopause, and men who want to turn into menopausal women.......

No such health problems with pineapples...

Well I hear in reasonable amounts (not eating lbs a day lol). Whole soy (meaning 100% organic) is safe for you. You forget when they make the milk they actually cook it killing those toxins that everyone tries to scare people about. Soy milk is pretty much the only soy I consume that isn't fermented. But since they cook it to kill those toxins there are no issues. Unless you are allergic and have thyroid issues or consume a **** load of it everyday, it is actually healthy for you. It's always about moderation. I also eat tofu and I enjoy fermented shoyu. The best I've had so far is Ohsawa shoyu. Excellent taste. You have to store it in your fridge after opening it or it will continue to ferment and have an alcohol taste lol.
