Prior to Batfink, Hal Seeger Productions created another interesting superhero:

fearless fly.jpg

Fearless Fly was first shown in 1965. It was part of a strange cartoon show on ABC called "The Milton the Monster Show". Fearless Fly never had his own show - he was always a filler cartoon for Milton the Monster. Fearless Fly was a fairly commonplace superhero in the same vein as Superman & Mighty Mouse. His most memorable feature is the large square glasses, which (unlike Superman) he only wore when he was Fearless Fly, not when he was disguised in his secret identity, Hirem the Housefly. The glasses gave FF "millions of megatons of energy".

An entire episode of "The Milton the Monster Show", including a segment of Fearless Fly is on Hulu: http://www.hulu.com/watch/166265
