Mine is down (stupid storm), and I really needed it tonight. Why? Because I just sent my resume to the humanities department at my university--I'm trying to snag a webmaster position. Wish me luck, guys. smile.gif

I probably won't be able to talk to you anymore tonight on account of the Internet thing (it'll probably be back tomorrow), but I'll be sure to catch up properly once I've got service at home again.
gl!
On a slightly different note... I had to deal with a old program at work that was getting slower by the second. To make a long story short, I now hate telerik with a passion. Oh, and linqtosql dbml object is a horrible way to interact with a database with 26k rows worth of data..*rantoff*

Of course they turn the Internet back on about ten minutes after I posted last. Just to make me look like a chump.

Thanks to everybody who wished me luck. And to that one pineapple freak who wished me unluck...well, may all your pineapples turn sour. Turn more sour. As sour as the assembled acid dust of a thousand Warheads.

I love how I've made this thread into Tech Talk Weekly.

It's alright, we don't need to help you with that :D

When in doubt, just add more salt.

Or sriracha.

That stuff's okay, but I never quite had the love affair with it that some people seem to (like Matt up there), putting it on everything. I like Cholula better--it's not exactly an apples-to-apples comparison, but still. Anything that takes the bold step of using two peppers I'd never heard of until I started growing peppers of my own is a-okay in my book.

And I could kick you. You've got me watching Speed Racer again. I really want to know what happens with that stupid yellow car now. I've got one more episode to go before I get to the one I think is what I'm looking for.

The Heart & Jason Bonham concert was very good! Too tired now - more info later...

I'm changing my avatar until the end of the month in tribute to the Wilson sisters. I've had a crush on Nancy Wilson since 1975...

You gotta stop calling it the yellow car. Ryusei-go, Ryusei-go.

Or were you talking about the GRX? That ain't yellow that's gold like Burning Gundam's hand of justice!!!!!!!

The intention,as I see it by the twinkler, was, by wishing you unluck, was to take the uncertainty out of your predicament to a positive conclusion.

Although, wishing someone luck, in normal parlance is supposed to have a good connotation, it should be expressed as good luck or good fortune.

This is as opposed to someone telling you "Good luck with that" i.e. "Fat chance, mongrel"

So, in conclusion, wishing someone luck without specifically categorising the luck as good  - "Wishing you all the best" is fat better and more to the point.

Now, denigrating of the pineapple (the prince of pleasure in paradise) due to a misunderstanding of the communication of a well-wishing fellow Headfier is not to be tolerated.

I trust this post has set the record straight, and that both parties in this exchange have the largess of heart to let bygones be be bygones, auld lang syne, et. al.

auld lang syne... (Click to show)

Err, good luck with that........

It was the GRX. Wow, after I waited 17 years to finally see it, that second part was anticlimactic. It's funny that Cartoon Network only played that episode once to my knowledge, no matter how many times I watched after that. I had one chance to see it when I was eight, and instead I decided to go with my mother and my cousin to this fruit market for no good reason I can remember. It was one of those "prove to yourself you can sacrifice something you really want" things, and it might be the only time I've ever done that. And you know what that market did to repay me? Ten years later, everything around it burned down, and it closed.

I'll bet they had pineapple.

I'll bet they did.

I'll bet they did.

Finished Dark Knight re-watch. Mentioned the Boom Boom Satellite thing. Next up is Watchmen.

...I might really consider getting KVM-VGA set up so I can play Arkham City.
