I hate having to install all of TI's Code Composer Studio just to update the firmware on my watch...

Crippled IDE's are just a waste of HD space...

Definitely. Eclipse is not the most fun to work with. A crippled version of a crippled IDE? Say it ain't so.

Why would you need to tell the time? It's not like you'll be celebrating a birthday or anything.

Your incessant lame jokes about my being dead, etc., related to my screen name, ceased to be funny long ago, even before wink (mostly) stopped with them.

Maybe you could come up with some original material if you pulled all the pineapples out of your

I've wondered why that's still going on, as it seems that you don't care for it very much. confused.gif

I haven't worn one for over a year since the battery died. The band was so tight, it actually left a permanent impression around my left wrist. Over a year later I can still see it clearly.

So... I've been gone for a little while.  What have I missed?  smile.gif

Well I finally got the firmware updated a bug in the hardware causes the watch to reboot when selecting the wireless update. So you have to take the watch module out and hook it to the MSP430 Debug dongle, run FET Lite430 and doesn't it bomb at 90% complete...

With the code limited IDE you can recompile the firmware as it is too large... Just a PITA is all it is, don't get involved with embedded systems unless you have access to a full working IDE. The time limited IAR package works perfectly for this one time update. smily_headphones1.gif
