That'd be wild!

I love these so far... (T1's)

I know i know naughty me talking about headphones on head-fi..

Do not punish me i'm off to give myself 40 lashes.

I use my Grado's out and about, but that's because i like hearing cars.. In case of me getting run over.

60% on my ipod, unamped, sometimes its drowned out by a truck passing but hey.. i prefer it.

I want a pair of Grado's to run around out side with too! That way every one can enjoy Metallica's Black Album... "Holier than Thou-ou... YOU ARE!" Would be too fine and a good countermeasure for those who yap on cell phones near me... Just stand a little closer to them so they can enjoy the "Grado Sound" too. biggrin.gif

Oh i'm not mean like that! i walk most places, and if i'm on the train or bus i make sure i sit away from everyone like the social hermit i can be and listen quietly ;)

you should get a pair of grados to run around with!

i use my Alexandro's  (the Mr. Alex Cakensaur personally modded Grado SR80i) and it is very excellent to walk along a park on a 60 F day!

Hmm. smily_headphones1.gif
Well I tried to mention that the areas around E12 and its build arent really that flawless.

And for some reason. This guy wants to mention that he has first 20 built if that even makes a difference(it doesnt).

I just wont mention that I have a pre production review sample before the "first 20" he has wink.gif .... Because seriously, he just wanted to mention he had a first 20 and all that.

Yes I'd love to get a pair of 225i's, its on the list of to get, so many cans, so little money... biggrin.gif

And I'd probably be the back corner guy with the Grado's as well, one should not be rude out there like the majority of the rudies are...

Just did a comparisson between RHA SA950i and AKG K422

And AKG K422 wins in every aspect.

The AKG K422's retail price is $100, but because it bombed in France(AKG and Pack Fnac co-op to sell it) it was sold in U.S for $20.

The RHA SA950i retails for $60.

So in a sense, whilst I , and everyone who has the AKG K422's paid only $20 for it, its still about $40 more expensive than the RHA.

Need more explanation on sound? No thanks right now. Review will be out in 2 weeks

The RHA's problems are its driver resonance with the housing, inability to swivel, cable design and length, and the duller vocals(forward, but dulled down) and even more is its isolation and leak problem.

I would use the AKG's more often if it wasn't for them being semi open. I can't listen to Perfume or SNSD and what not with these in public. It's public suicide right there.

IEM's are the case of all my chagrin as I constatnly go to fix the seal(don't say CIEM's. I'm a poor Panda in College) and full sizers are , well full size.

I should have bought the AKG's when they were being blown out for $20 - just to have a different brand of closed/portable 'phones. I always miss the deals... redface.gif

I wonder why it did so poorly in France. Maybe just a case of targeting an already-saturated segment of the market and failing to stand out on paper?

I wonder why our resident Panda would get mugged in public for being overheard listening to SNSD. tongue.gif

This SNSD is new to me. I'm gathering that there's a certain stigma attached to male listeners? (Not judging myself, of course).

I'm sure we all have things we'd rather not let people know we listen to. Back in the dark ages, when I was listening to my V700, the pads had flaked and the structure of the headphone had cracked, both to the extent that they didn't seal anything in anymore. Of course I didn't know this at the time, and there were numerous times I walked around campus, blissfully unaware that everybody in the library could tell I was listening to the "Numa numa" song or the soundtrack from Sonic R or other guilty pleasures.

Now, of course, I know that my SRH440 seals good and tight, though I'm still slightly self-conscious whenever I put on ***** or *** ********** **** (hey, I grew up in the 90s and the early turn of the millennium).

Maybe that should be our next mixtape idea: songs that we wouldn't listen to on Grados in public.

SNSD is popular for both guys and girls.

It's like saying Rihanna is just popular with guys because she is sexy, sometimes nude, and is a girl.

SNSD is just a cutlural and musical icon in Asia. Popular with all people

Check the video out. This song is considered one of their catchiest songs ever released. It's gotten people who don't even care about pop to be caught up in it

Hmm...I get the feeling knowing Korean might enhance my enjoyment. As it is, I can see what you mean about it being catchy. Little bits of it are already looping over and over in my head, and I only listened to it once. I certainly don't see anything wrong with it that would make it public suicide to be discovered to be listening to it. But then, maybe I'm a little more open minded than most people, or else I just care a little less what other people think.

Whatever. I say blare this on the loudest speaker system you can find, smile, and be proud. What's the worst thing that could happen? (Apart from violation of noise ordinance).
