Thanks guys!  smile.gif

I do this when I can, mostly in the Portable Source forum, and here and there in the Portable headphones forum....since I have very little full-size headphone experience, and zero IEM experience. Good idea as a tribute!

Very best,

Well... as I understand it "cak" or "kak" is pretty common in Afrikaans, in case he's South African.

It's interesting that when searching for "cak" Google automatically changes your search term to "cake." I guess people often make that typo. Also, Urban Dictionary seems to think cak has a distinctly dirty meaning, which isn't unusual for UD.

"Caken" evidently means cuddling up (verbally) to a boyfriend/girlfriend (again, according to UD). So maybe he's a cuddly dinosaur? Like one of these?

Caution: cuteness! (Click to show)

I'm just trying out different possibilities. Something tells me none of these is correct, but it's fun anyway.

In other news, I'm amused/despaired (don't know which) to see our favorite Z-man is still posting. I'm kind of surprised as well--you'd think it would get boring after a while. Reading through it all again it almost seems like a bid to become the most epic troll of our time. He's got some stiff competition there:

Pretty kitty! L3000.gif

I had those headphones a few years back....they were the second thing I bought after moving on from the stock Sansa earbuds. To my ears, they needed EQ-ing.....they had a lot of boomy mid to upper bass, but it made for an overall muddy sound. The mids and upper mids were drowned right out (and I only had the Sansa Clip/Fuze stock EQ to work with then, it was before Rockbox was ported). But they were cheap and took quite a beating, back when I didn't have the money for anything better or the knowledge of what might be better.

Very best,

Kitties...

Unfortunately, no headphones. But you do get two cats, so there's something.

EDIT: Actually, there ARE headphones in this picture. Challenge: find them!

Are they...... courting?  The cans are in the lower left corner.

They're both female. I actually have no idea what they were doing, since they usually end up chasing one another if they get that close. Lorelei (the big one with the gray face) doesn't like Maizy.

The headphones aren't in the lower left corner. There is something reflective there, though. I don't know what it was since this was taken almost six years ago and this isn't my bedroom.
