I must confess (and surrender a sizable chunk of nerd points) that I've never been in a chat room. By the time my family got broadband chat rooms were already losing popularity (AIM was all the rage, remember that?) and I didn't get involved in any online communities until around 2008 (not counting social networking).
Well, we'll wait for you anyway. But I think that with this thread around, you'll see your post count rise dramatically. 5 posts per day in this thread alone will get you there inside of two months.
Yup, 8-way PMs are crazy. I've been in a 4-way PM for about three months now. Big fun, but not exactly real time.
LOL, I've got a couple of decades on you. You don't wanna know what I remember.
Here's a tip... strategic use of the
emoticon will get you there quicker. In times of tension, popping one of those in will still be a substantive contribution, while saving gobs of time. And honestly, sometimes, that's all that can be said.
