:thumb: We got love for our brotha! That's a really great pix too! It looks like you just emerged from a High-end Audio Conference and just before the valet pulled up with your Aston-Martin, reporters swarmed standing in between you and the ride.

what a great synopsis based on that image! :)

I'd say the truth is equal in terms of how great I felt!

We were at the Four Seasons in Hualalai, Kona, Hawaii (we hadn't had a vaca in 9 years at that point - and NEVER had a honeymoon after 17 years, so we said f__ it, we're goin for it) - and that day I brought my LCD-3s, ALO RxMK3-B, and iPod Classic to the beach. After a KILLER beachside listening sesh

- we snuck into the Four Seasons Residents restaurant (usually off-limits to hotel guests) and ate like a King and Queen!!

Then we rode the vintage 70's scooter home I rented!

I need to go somewhere tropical very, very soon. It's been almost 8 years (I think) since I was last in Hawaii.

Sadly, all too rare round these parts these days.  :o

Hmm, Hawaii > BIG ASS OCEAN > California.  Okay I call BS!  Pics or it didn't happen!  :p

You do great work! You're highly organized, too. I'm surprised  you're not a guest Lecturer at one of the Uni's. Not like you don't have enough to do...

Thanks for slapping that TMAC label! I'm fixin' to edit my avi right after this post.

I have an update coming your way on the private side to get you caught up some. Perhaps, Sunday evening. Despite our whirlwind days and nights, we should meet - we're behind on our cafe meets.

:( I need to go anywhere - it's been quite some time since I've had time for myself. Spent some good years caregiving with a break recently. I'd even go into orbit if NASA thinks I'm fit.

Lol, thanks!  No, definitely don't need anything more on my plate at the moment.  Besides, I'm bound by enough confidentiality agreements where I'd have to be silent about far too much anyway.  :o

Ooh, good news I hope!  We are totally behind, though tonight is a no-go unfortunately.  I've got a ton of lingering things to wrap up before next week starts.  What are you doing later in the week (Wed~Fri)?  Shoot me an email... warren[DOT]chi(AT)audio360{DOT}org.

@billybob_jcv, welcome to everything that doesn't suck.  This meet is going to be a cathartic release for a lot of us I think.  If you come early enough and stay late enough, we can do breakfast and dinner surround the meet as well.

@Silent One, this recent decompression time was good for ya though... much needed to prepare yourself for future adventures!  IOW, it was just long enough to make you stir crazy (but in a good way).  The meet'll good for you too.  Meeting a kajillion other SoCal Head-Fiers in person, checking out all the latest and greatest gear, spending time with people that just "get you" without needing to explain this crazy ass hobby - all in a free-spirited sharing of something that makes us happy - what's not to like right?

Jude's coming.  Currawong's coming (yes, all the way from Japan).  Mercer's coming.  Plus, you'll get to hang out with the people behind the products and find out that they are just like us:  Alex Rosson (Audeze), Alex Cavalli (Cavalli Audio), Jason Stoddard (Schiit), Mike Moffat (Schiit), Craig Uthus (Eddie Current), Justin Wilson (HeadAmp), just too many to list here.

Too much Mercer, lol!  :D  I should add in a brief quote or something at the top, something commonly said.

@warrenpchi knows me too well.

You guys would be frightened if you saw how we write together. We finish each others thoughts, its scary:

This review of the Perfect Sound Dido might've been the most fun writing about gear I've ever had!!

I tried to tell my moms about the TMAC - and she didn't really get it, LOL

But I sent her a link!

Seriously though - this gave me a boost like an eight ball back in the day!!

My wifey says she's so happy to see me get back into the rhythm of work,

though she's yellin right now as its movie night.

See ya'll soon!

and I finally changed my own avatar!!
