I've not heard any of the other GR07 variations personally, but it's my understanding based on others impressions between them that the BE is fairly similar in terms of quantity to the MKI (perhaps slightly more), but it's the quality that's said to have been improved upon.  It makes for a very natural presentation, the lower regions aren't overly present when not called for - it's less 'analytical monitor' and more 'warm and fun' overall. I think it serves well for the purpose of 'good quality bass' over 'traditional basshead' for it's price.  It doesn't seem to sacrifice the strengths of the other variations, as it still retains what I'd consider a lush midrange and high detail retrieval.

On another note, how would you compare your W4 to the GR07?  I've been looking into multi-BA based IEMs lately (possibly cIEM) and the W4 was on my shortlist.

The original one doesn't even compare to the bass edition, I have all 3 versions. smily_headphones1.gif the mk2 come close , but never betting them.

lol mochill, if i didn't know these babies i would've thought you've been paid to comment like this on the forum!

One nitpick I've had was how terrible the user manual-warranty card were written in English. I mean AFAIK, Vsonic has been selling in the USA for a while now, at least long enough to hire a native speaker to word these but no... The typos, grammar mistakes brought tears to my eyes, I just tossed it away. This definitely doesn't give good first impressions. I'm glad I didn't base my opinions on them at that time (well maybe I did, explaining how I first felt haha)

Oh and how so I wish there was another thread I could read about these and talk to others. Here's pretty dead. Really not fair for this quality.

Your mission is to infiltrate all of the threads that you can, spreading the BE word, and getting as many people as possible on the BE hype train lol!

Trust me, people are buying them. Not everyone is so vocal...

Wait, you are paid too? haha kidding... yeah, I might consider that but telling clueless people how awesome they are is less fun than talking to other buyers and sharing the joy tongue.gif

If he's gonna "buy like 5 or 10 and ship them to well respected as well as random headfi members", then one would think that he could manage to keep one of those pairs for himself lol! rolleyes.gif

Yes, it would have been better if you didn't get them both at the same time. Now I imagine you just have those unholy 99's strapped to your head most of the time, and the poor BE's aren't getting as much love from you as they should be getting.

But you speak the truth about those darned 99's. They are something else.

Actually i am listening to these gr07 BEs more and is just letting those WS99 burn-in for now. Gotta get a good grasp of how these gr07 BEs sound with the short amount of time that i will have them. But they are getting a lot over night/ on/ off day time burn-in that's for sure.

These gr07 BEs are making me listen to my indie/ band/ live albums more. LoL I know right masa' troll listens to other type of music besides Korean Hip Hop. ha

Will have some more impressions soon, since i just tried these on my E17 amp/dac but i have to tip roll them 1st since i am still using my MH1C tips. LMAO They are just too comfy and easy to use.
