Considering the GR07 BE's, can anyone tell me about the sound similarities / differences?

These are going cheap on Lend Me Your Ears currently, I'm due for another set of something...

GET THEM!! I own both and still use them both my the GR07 BEs are just more refined with better sound stage. They still have great bass, even tighter then the 02 and now that the price is dropped, its a great deal.

I just ordered that. XD

Man I wish I didn't already own them wink.gif so I could get the GR06 too. Actually I think I will get a set for my son and then keep the 06s.darthsmile.gif

Edit: HOLD ON,I just checked the site the Price for the bundle is actually more than if you bought them separately because of the sale. Bundle Price is $208.46, where GR07 BE is $138.98 and the GR06 is $57.03 for a total of $196.01.

I did however still order another set of GR07 BE's, for some reason I was unable to control my clicking finger very_evil_smiley.gif

Now you just need to figure out  a way to use both BE sets at the same time... tongue.gif

I apologise that I'm pasting this in all the GR07 threads, but does anyone know which MEElectronics triple flange tips fit the GR07?

Rin's blog post (linked at the bottom) shows the MEElectronics triple flanges to give the GR07 MkII a more extended treble and some better presence, which I think I'd like, but I can't figure out which ones would fit, because as per Joker's IEM review thread, the GR07's nozzle size is apparently 3.5mm, while the closest MEElectronics IEMs measure 3mm or 4mm. Which of the two sizes fit the GR07 best?

Damn.... Know what? I didn't even notice they had the GR07-BE on sale. But under my circumstances, this was still the best thing for me to for. Without going into too much detail it was part of a trade here on head-fi, so i'm not kicking myself over it. I'm still happy; $12 difference is negligable when you look at the MSRP of each on their own.

I have a pair that I've not used and don't need if you'd like them.  Just send me a PM if you're interested!

I've seen that the M6 model tips fit from various GR07 threads when I was researching alternative tips, whatever size they are: http://www.meelec.com/category_s/379.htm  I'd say if you know the measurements, go for the 3mm tips first - the silicon should have no problems stretching over the nozzle.  Better snug than loose.

Yup, those are the exact ones I use

According to Joker's IEM thread, the M6 are 4mm nozzles - that 0.5 mm larger then the GR07 nozzles. Eke, if these are the ones you use, do they fit snugly without falling off or coming loose?

He already owns it. It's his pair that I'm using for the comparison to the MKII. I feel bad that he has to be without it for so long...redface.gif
