That is exactly the combination I have...M-100s and GR07 BEs...it's a phenomenal pairing.  You still get the same mids and highs of the regular GR07 just with a slightly more elevated low end.  I haven't heard the MKIIs, but I had the MKIs and the BEs are quite similar from a presentation standpoint.

 

And btw...LendMeUrEars has the BEs and the MKIIs for $136 right now!

Do we know if lendmeurears ships to Canada?

I am quite torn between choosing from the Bass edition and the MKII, can anyone help me?

I owned the original MK II some time back and certainly did not find it lacking in any way. What would I trade off in choosing the MK II?

I'm pretty sure that once those who had both pipe up, there is a good chance that you will end up getting the BE's.

Leaning that way myself, incidentally had a short listen to the BE recently. Want to take advantage of LMUE's sale that's going on right now.

just out of curiosity, is the bass on the be more in quantity than the original gr07 or is it more about it having more extension/fullness/slam/etc.?

Though I've not heard the MKII personally, it was my understanding from others that the lower end was reworked in the BE to extend further and have a more natural, realistic overall presentation.  Perhaps more quantity and/or slam, but I can't say - I do know I love it's presentation, though.  That is what ultimately sold me on them over the MKII, which I was about to buy before I found out about the BE.  I'd still like to try the MKII sometime just out of curiosity.

Anyone who owns both the MkII and the BE that can give us a comparison? Or if this has already been done somewhere else, a link please?

I have the GR02 BE's, probably the nicest IEM / headphone I've had.

Considering the GR07 BE's, can anyone tell me about the sound similarities / differences?

Well, LMUE, you win. I'm giving them a try. After seeing the amount of hype they get, I figured it's worth seeing if these are another M50 or not. Cool that LMUE offers free shipping to Canada, as well.

LMUE has a GR07 BE + GR06 bundle on offer right now. And for only like 20 bucks more than just the BE alone.

I just ordered that. XD
