It's not so much whether it's boosted or enhanced, it's the fact that the BE has more recessed mids and and lacks a bit of clarity compared to the CE. For the type of music he's talking about, and speaking as someone who's had both, the Classic is more appropriate.

Haha, no, but we had a damn good laugh about exactly that. :D She's actually got hold of a few different tips these past months, lucky I have multiple spares.

so im getting this muffled sound on my right (of my be) and when i press the iem itself it gets more muffled it seems. a few weeks ago i had intermittent sound coming out of the right side too.

im hoping its not, but could this be a symptom of a failing driver? and how do i check whether this is a cable or driver issue?

tia

How long have you owned them? I have seen a reasonable amount of GR07s with driver failure after 6 months.

I've also had a pair of VSD1S have a driver failure within 2 weeks. I think VSonic are much worse than other brands for this, unfortunately the joker doesn't mention this in his gleaming reviews (which I do appreciate, but I feel this could be added for full disclosure).

If they are outside of warranty you can check if it's a cable issue by recabling (if this is something you are capable of doing). Removing the back cover carefully and de-soldering + resoldering cables from another pair of earphones is usually sufficient to test, however you need to have good soldering skills and a decent iron so that you don't transfer excessive heat in the process. In my experience however, driver failures are more common than cabling failures on VSonic IEMs.

If they are within warranty, perhaps just make a claim.
