VSonic GR07 Bass Edition Impressions - Page 145

I don't know, I find the GR07BE's SQ warm and smooth. The claim is also the MA750i is better built.

Just got this info, the GR07 Classic is also using bio-cellulose:

http://www.head-fi.org/t/706339/vsonic-gr-07-be-vs-rha-ma750#post_10393175

2) There has been rumours on head-fi forum that the GR07 classic no longer uses the same kind of drivers as the previous generations of GR07. We would like clarify that this is WRONG. The GR07 classic continues to use the same kind of bio cellulose driver as the previous iterations.

The Vsonic CEO had clarified that on his weibo (China's version of twitter)

You can see the actual post here: http://www.weibo.com/p/1005051758406167/weibo?profile_ftype=1&is_ori=1#1395572749936

The actual content states: 最近国外论坛议论纷纷说GR07 CLASSIC的单元并非是旧款GR07的单元。在此澄清,GR07 CLASSIC的单元确实是使用旧款GR07的单元。请大家放心

Which roughly translates to: Recently, there had been rumours in overseas forums which suggests that the GR07 Classic do not use the same bio cellulose drivers as the older generations of GR07. I would like to clarify that the GR07 Classic uses the old GR07 bio cellulose drivers. Please be reassured.

So yes guys, the rumour has been dispelled so do grab one now!

Thanks for sharing the info...

Definitely a great IEM and an improvement (to my ears anyway) over the original VSonic GR07.

Yes, I absolutly agree. I just like that warmer, somewhat V-shaped, more fun sound signature.
Comparing the built quality, the gr07 is not bad, but don't even come close to the RHA. MA750 is impeccable in that regard.
But I think they are quite different, so if somebody really like the GR07, I dont think it would a good move to buy an RHA instead.

So does that means that RHA would be an upgrade option from GR07? After using Gr07 its really hard to find an upgrade from that price range again

Personally, I stopped at the GR07 as far as upgrades go. I purchased the TDK BA200, which complements it and has the BA sound, but is no better

For me, the IEM that i can consider it as an upgrade sonically from Gr07 is Westone 4R and Shure Se535 which is at a much higher price range

No, I wouldn't consider the MA750 to be an upgrade from the GR07, rather a sidegrade if you thought the GR07 was too sibilant.

I agree.

If you are satisfied with your GR07 then its not an upgrade. If you feel the Vsonic too sibilant/harsh then you should try the RHA. Its a matter of personal preference. :) By the way the RHA looks better and feels more premium.

Okay, its good to know:)

I am selling my 2,5 months old GR07BE here, its time to say goodbye. I have mixed feelings about it..

I picked up a pair of the GR07 BE a few weeks ago mainly based on this thread and couldn't be happier with my decision. I was also auditioning some IE 80's at the same time and much preferred the Vsonics. Just as good bass as the Senns but without the bloat... An amazing iem value at $180!
