You talkin' to me? Lol. Reading the positive vibes regarding the BE is driving me a bit crazy as I wait for mine to arrive. Actually, I have no idea when they will arrive. I bought them from a fellow head-fier, and the last USPS tracking said "Processed through USPS Sort Facility - February 15, 2013, 7:04 pm - LOS ANGELES, CA 90009". I'm pretty sure (ie praying) that they are NOT still sitting there, and that the tracking has essentially just become useless, and that they have crossed the border and are on their way. So I just wait and try to be patient lol.

The same goes for my new Fiio E12 - it's been sitting in the same sort facility since Feb 17 lol. One thing I am fairly confident about though is that the GR07BE will sound very good through the E12.... assuming I get my grimy paws on them both!

Regarding the "hisoundaudio studio v 3rd anv", I will check it out!

p.s. That noozoxoide is pretty darned cool. I couldn't believe how much it opened the soundstage of my JVC FXD70 iem's. Awesome. It will be very interesting to see the effect with the GR07BE's!

Having had my GR07 BEs for a little over a month now, I'm more and more enamored with them each day.  I had the original GR07s for the last year and a half and I always was looking for a bit more low end when I was using my iPod/iPad.  For a while, as suggested a few posts up, I just got a Fiio amp and kicked the bass up a bit and everything was cool, but I didn't really like carrying the amp around when I was doing stuff outside (running, mowing the lawn, etc.) so I had a cheap pair of Soundmagic e30s to handle that.  But then of course I don't get the sweet sound of VSonics...lol.  Once the BEs were released I jumped on them.  They are the absolute perfect headphone for me.  They fit perfect, over the ear cables, chin slider and a nice cable (although a bit obnoxious w/ the red stripes).

And the sound, oh wow the sound.  Everything I love about the OG GR07 with the added low end.  Nice sparkle on the top without much symblance (after burn in at least), nice forward mids with absolutely fantastic timbre and the smooth slightly enhanced low end.  So perfect...I really cannot recommend these headphones enough.  I picked up a pair of full sized V-Moda M100s around the same time and I barely ever use them because I like the sound of the GR07 BEs more which is really shocking at half the price.

No, I'm not. It's just that I've read comparisons between the GR07 MK1 vs MK2 or between the MK2 vs BE, but never seen anyone directly comparing the 3 models, head-to-head, at the same time. I think if you could have the chance to so, you'd be the first to do it. Don't you know anyone closer to you than can lend you the GR07 MK1's?

I was just joking.

The only person I know of sold his after getting the MKII. No luck there.

Would you mind if I ask around Head-Fi (at least in the other GR07 threads) if anyone in the USA who owns the MK1 would be able to lend them to you for the comparison?

Sure, I wouldn't mind.

Hey everyone, I haven't made an official post in the FS/FT forum yet because I'd like to mention here that I'm OFFICIALLY selling my FXZ200s so I can get me the Bass Edition GR07's

So before going to the FS forums, I'd like to see if any owners of the GR07-be would like to do a straight trade? I'll take the monetary loss; it'll work itself out eitherway by the time I sell them, and paypal fees and shipping work itself into the equasion.

PM if interested. Serious enquiries only. There's nothing wrong with the FXZ200s; infact I love them a lot and will be sad I'm departing with them. I'm just looking for something smaller and more discrete for work, and the FXZs are not by any means discrete.

Well, it won't hurt posting it here too:

Would anyone in the USA who owns the GR07 MK1 (or MK1.1) be able to lend them to the user eke2k6 for a 3 way shootout between all the existing GR07 models to this date: MK1 vs MK2 vs BE? That would be a really nice comparison to see and read about, no? If anyone is willing to do it, please contact eke2k6 by PM...

Thanks!  beerchug.gif

Nope, nothing yet.

If no one offers by the end of the week, I'm just going to go ahead and do the MK2 vs BE

I'd gladly send you mine, but my problem is to get them back. If they're stopped by customs over here, then I'd be in a lot of trouble as I've lost their receipt and I'd have to pay a lot in taxes and duties to have them back... mad.gif

So I traded my FXZ200s for these. I hope I'll be satisfied with my decision, but I'm sure I will be.

No worries. I won't write it until the weekend, so hopefully someone shoots me a PM by then.
