I think the VSD7 should be released really soon given that the Vsonic's CEO said that the limited version of VSD1 that was already sold out and will be released next month has the VSD7 tuning, which means they should have already finished the tuning of VSD7.

Very interesting info, thanks. If VSD7 turns out to be better than GR07 it will be my next purchase, cause I'm currently in love with my 07's (both of them biggrin.gif).

Monster icable 800 3ft is what I'm using currently and it makes the x1 so much more balanced and also improves depth of the midrange and details :)

Wow. I got my GR07BE as a birthday gift from my girlfriend last Sunday, and I am impressed. Definitely one of the best universals I have ever heard, doesn't really lack anything in any frequency. I mean, yeah, if you don't like the sound signature I can understand that, but from a technical standpoint, they are impressive, specially at the current price point. I was fearful that they wouldn't have enough bass, but they actually hit pretty deep. And the clarity? Oh my. And from what I heard, they get even better with burn in, and I'm already completely happy and satisfied with them. One of the best investment with my Sony XB90EX (yeah they were a gift but you get the idea).

Make comparisons GR07BE vs XB90EX. I know that XB90EX have 16 millimeter driver (0.64 inch), good basshead earphone.

Sad to say that yesterday was my last day with my BE, and they now have a good home in MattTCG's collection.  It was a fun ride.  I *shockingly* found myself enjoying the RE-400 for more positive reasons/aspects over the GR07, but I'd consider it more of a side grade and perhaps that my tastes are changing a bit also.  Of course there is a noticeable sacrifice in the sub-bass region, but with good tips and a good seal it was actually not as much of a departure as I initially thought it would be.  Definitely lighter bass for most BE fans though...it's just a very different presentation that seems more airy and spacious, very lush mids and a softer (but not rolled off) treble.  The BE was warmer and fuller in the lows, slightly recessed mids and has more sibilant tendencies in the highs in direct comparison.  Some tracks still leave me wanting the BE, but I had to look at the big picture and the majority of my music library.  I still stand by the GR07 (MKII/BE) as one of the best sounding (and best deals) in universal IEMs out there, and I'll likely keep a close eye on their next Vsonic series when they release over the next few months.  The funds from the BE are going towards getting a new desktop DAC cool.gif
