I hope it won't be like the RE400 replacing the RE262. IMO, the RE-400 just made the RE262 more special!

Somebody knows if the V-Moda bliss tips fit the GR07BE/VSD1's nozzle.

Also, I'm doing a temporary swap with MattTCG - his MKII for my BE, so I'll be giving impressions once I receive them. biggrin.gif

Have you received that MKII yet? popcorn.gif

Yes, and we've been exchanging results back and fourth so here's what we determined:

His impression of my BE:

- Cable seemed a bit more limber/flexible and that his tended to tangle a bit more

- Difference between the two are not as much as he guessed, they sound very very similar

- He hears roughly a 4dB boost in the bass region, resulting in slight mid recession

- BE has slightly warmer/darker presentation, which is his preference

- He would be happy with either, feels the BE is more fun/engaging for most music

- Ultimately prefers the MKII for his personal preferences, mostly vocal music

My impression of the MKII:

- Cable feels the same, but it's a bit less compliant...not sure when he got his pair, but I suspect they are all the same now

- Mids are more forward/present, Treble is pretty much the same, Bass extension is the same but with less body/impact

- Overall more neutral/flat frequency response

- Ideal for folk/acoustic, vocal, indie rock, and other mid-centric genres over the BE

- Equal technical ability with the BE

- I would be happy with either, feels the same that the BE is more fun/engaging in most cases, but the MKII is more neutral

- Ultimately prefer the BE for my eclectic music tastes, electronic/rock/metal genres

The consensus between us is that any GR07 is phenomenal for the money, one of the best IEM values out there, and for those deciding on getting a pair...you need to act on that lendmeurears.com sale ASAP! tongue.gif They were already a good value at $180, but for $130 it's unbeatable IMO...

I'm also very excited to see how Vsonic's new offerings perform, but a good bit of reviews likely won't be in until next year.  Let's hope the upper models mirror the reception from the VSD1, that appears to be one of the best values in the sub-$100 region already.  Can't wait to see some Joker reviews on it cool.gif

Subbed.

Ordered the BE on the lendmeurears sale. I prefer a sound sig that is balanced with slight boost in the low end. I've had the VSD1 since it came out and enjoy the sound. Only gripe was that channels were swapped in order to wear cable up and no cable cinch. Very curious about that extra 20% in SQ (since VSD1 was 80% of the GR07).
Also, I though the candy cane cable style was very interesting.

It's not as candy cane-ish as it looks in the pics.  A little more subdued.  It's certainly different and IMO looks better than the original MK1 GR07, mostly because that one changed colors as you used em.  LOL.  You should love the BE if that's your preferred sound sig.

My Paypal was charged and clicking on the link from the email they sent says my order is processing.
I usually wait after a week before I get antsy and two weeks if there's no update/no delivery.

Yeah, I guess Amazon spoiled me too much for the past 2 years with next day delivery since that was the only site I order from online lol.

Hi,

I currently use a Fiio E6 with a pair of Vsonic GR06 IEMs, and a Samsung Android smartphone as a source, with great results.

I will soon upgrade to Vsonic GR07 Bass Edition, and I don't know whether I should also buy the Fiio E12 or stick to my E6 amp.

What do you guys recommend?

I think the E6 will be plenty. I personally don't notice a ton of difference with my amp and GR07, though maybe I enjoy it slightly more.
