Yeah I probably wouldn't have bought them had I had to get them via eBay or lendmeurears...way too long to wait.  2-3 weeks?  Crazy talk in this age of instant gratification.  Or at least free two day shipping from Amazon.  :)

True true...I was pretty fortunate as I found out lendmeurears has a US warehouse.  They happened to have the BE in stock there when I ordered and I received them in 2-3 days, which was definitely impressive!  I am all too spoiled by Amazon Prime these days, though rolleyes.gif  ...I ordered some Complys and an audio cable yesterday and they arrived this afternoon!

Definitely keep an eye out for the GR08/V7007, which I believe is their new flagship.  There is also to be a redesign of the GR07 for MkIII reportedly.

Haha...yeah, definitely not going to be spending 500 on IEMs...when I'm absolutely satisfied with the 180 dollar GR07 BEs.  These are the perfect compliment to my V-MODA M100 full sized headphones.

Got them yesterday and have barely taken them out since.  The sound is just fuller than the standard GR07s.  Yes, I'm sure that's from the more exaggerated low end, and apparently that's the sound I prefer because these things are exactly what I was looking for.  The clarity and sparkle of the GR07 with a little more low end punch.

I really couldn't be happier.  Just a fantastic product.  They'd be perfect if they didn't have a red/grey cable, lol.  Just kinda looks a bit cheesy imo.  Wish it was black and grey instead if they had to get cutesy with it.  It's definitely softer and more manageable than the original GR07 was.

Just a fantastic product and further emphasizes my love for VSonic.  Just don't love em 500 dollars worth, haha.

I wouldn't say 'exaggerated' as much as 'reworked'.  The lower end has been tweaked to be more present and punchy without creating an impact on resolution and texture.  It also serves to enhance aspects of the mids (like in vocals) without distorting or bleeding into them, all while remaining clear and sparkly at the top - no muddiness of the sound that I can hear.   They are certainly more fun and less analytical, which is what I was looking for when my journey let me into GR07 territory, and to the BE.  The cable does look nice in your hand, but when wearing them it's a bit intense (I always think of a candycane when I'm looping them over my ears lol).  But, it was the sound that sold me more so than the looks - sure, I'd prefer the flat grey of the MKII, and I'm sure I'd enjoy it's sound, but I'm glad I took a chance on the BE because it worked out so well for what I was looking for.

I noticed my BE suffers from a mild driver flex in the left ear piece. Anyone else experiencing this?

Poor wording by me.  :)  Agreed...re-worked sounds better.  Just as the BEs sound better than the regular GR07s.  To me...well, and you.  Haha.  Loving them more and more every day.

I haven't heard of anyone with GR07s and driver flex.  Doesn't mean it can't happen...it is a dynamic after all.

I have never heard of anyone else complaining either. The sound I hear is a distinct "tick" sound when I push the IEM too deep. Another "tick" when I let go and the pressure is released. Doesn't really have any impact to the sound. i am just worried, over time, it may cause issues. its probably the 3rd time i experienced it. So just to make sure, I changed my tips and have not been pushing it too deep. I get the same, but more pronounced shreek shreek sound with the CC51 and my Dunu Tridents.

On my third day with them, breaking them in as I listen because I don't want to waste that great sound. Full report and comparison after break in but right now "Yeah Baby!!"

Don't worry about it, a lot of IEMs have driver flex (My GR07 BEs do not but my GR02 BE do)

Well I just ordered these. I have been mostly into closed full size cans and could never find a good set I liked for sound and travel. There was just always too many compromises. That led me to pick up a cheap set of Shure SE215s. They isolate better than any full size and sound really good. Well that good sound was a blessing and a curse. It always leads me to wondering how much better it could get. After thorough research of Head-Fi, I was led here. I was looking for the same thing I have been looking for in my full size. I want good bass without being overbearing along with details, great high end air and lush mids. The Shures delivered on the bass and mids. The bass was a little overbearing at times and not as controlled as I wanted. The highs, details and air was never really there. The Shures just seemed to get congested. I almost purchased the MkIIs a couple of times. After being truthful with myself I think I value a little more kick in the low end than I do clarity. They should be here Saturday. Hopefully these will be a real step up from the Shures. I have tried out a few fairly high end IEMs that didn't make me want to leave the Shures, most notably the IE80s and UE900s. Both were better IEMs but not nearly worth the cost difference. The VSonics hit the cost/performance sweet spot but the Shures are pretty good bang for the buck. The last thing I am hoping for is good isolation. I know it probably wont be as good as the Shures but hopefully its close.
