Say WHAT?

 

They look even worse now with the faded brown and dark blue! Can't they just make the pads black or something? They look horrible!

I love the cup design of the V-Free though - they should make a wired version! Seems they do have a cable. However - they are not aluminium, and only plastic. 

 

Should I add it to the list perhaps..?

I like the V-Free's and Bluetooth would me spectacular for my SONY A865. I'm just affraid it's not as good as the AKG K167/K267, whereas the V-True Studio must play in the same league.

Alright.. So - I updated the first post:

  • AKG K167 & Velodyne vFree have been added to list, due to both fitting the definition of Mid-Fi in first post.
  • Poll has been hidden/closed. I will re-open the poll once all headphones have begun shipping; we are waiting for the AKG K267 Tiesto (Shipping Dec. 14th), Audio Technica ATH-WS99 (Shipping Unknown).
  • All other headphones have been shipped and are available for purchase.

 

... Now, we wait.

Hmm.. now that you mention it - it seems they may have cancelled plans to bring it over... Could someone in japan get a hold of them and ask?

 

EDIT: They are available on Amazon.com as imports for $269 though.

I'm in Japan. I'll see if I can find a demo. I thought these were out for a while, but that maybe because they look like the lower end model.

These are definitely interesting. If they have the AT house sound, then I might've found my portable.

Seems as we're just waiting on the AKG K267 to ship before we re-instate the poll. 

 

I can't wait to see which of these competing headphones is judged as the overall best value to the most people. The poll can't be applied to everyone, as everyone has different tastes, but it will help narrow it down. (I'm looking at you DENON D400.)
