I’m the original owner of this 10 foot Cardas Cable that I bought new from the Headroom several years ago. I used it with my Sennheiser HD650 headphones that I’m also selling. Here's link to the ad. The cable is in good condition with some wear on the jack (see picture) which has no audio consequences.
In addition to my recent seller feedback, I have many favorable feedback posts from my earlier sales in a thread started under the old system. Here’s the link . I also have feedback from Audiogon. Here’s a link to member lookup where you can see it. I’m “Douglasb” over there.
The Cardas site says it fits the following Sennheiser headphones:
HD-650, HD 600, HD 265, HD 525, HD 535, HD 545, HD 565, HD 565 II and HD 580.
I think you’ll find that the Cardas cable adds considerable transparency to the Sennheisers over the stock cable. The main complaint on the Sennheiser HD580, HD600 and HD650 phones is that they should be a little brighter. This cable certainly brightens them and adds more detail and resolution throughout the range including the bass. It’s really like getting a better headphone. It now sells for about $200 new from the Headroom and other reputable dealers.
I’m selling because I’m using my Shure SE535 earphones almost exclusively now because of their sound isolation. When I occasionally want to use headphones, I prefer the Sennheiser/Cardas combo over my AKG 701s, but I don’t use headphones enough to justify having two. The Sennheiser/Cardas combo is the more expensive one so logically it’s the one to sell. I’ll be sorry to see it go.
I’m asking for payment via PayPal or money order. I much prefer PayPal. Note that you don’t have to be a PayPal member to send money to a member via credit card.
I’m a verified PayPal member.
