Actually rgs9200m I need an awesome closed headphone. My mom is 75 years old and she likes to turn her TV up very loud. I ask her to turn it down and she says she can't hear it. Hehe. The LCD-2 is an open headphone?

OMG, that sounds like abuse. I don't know how you can live like that w/o going crazy. Good luck to you.

Audezes are pretty good at isolation but maybe you should try a noise canceling one.

Been listening to flac ATB songs with these on my computer for a few days through my d12 and HA540.  I'm surprised that these so obviously obliterate my K702s in most categories which I've held in such a high regard.  Was kind of hoping to keep these for a few weeks and sell them afterwards. **** X_X

for limited budget: I use a Lake People G103 with my ATH W3000anv. The amp is dead silent and it drives the ATH very well. No harshness.

Mine sounds great on both my WA22 (tubes) as well as my Bryston BHA-1.  In fact, everything sounds great on my BHA-1, and at $1249 is (almost) in your price range. I really think it is one of the best bang for the buck amps out there.

I thought they sounded great with the Burson Soloist. But I haven't heard them with many other amps in that price range.

I have the Violectric v200 and it matches well with them.  That said i would be very interested in hearing them on the Luxman.

Just a thought. Thanks.
