So, I think my battery is shot. For some reason I haven't been able to find any info on a google search about how or what batter to replace it with other than having to send it in to RWA. Has anyone replaced their own battery or are all your batteries working without problems?

You are aware that there is a battery calibration issue, right?  It is non-linear and way off.   I find that at 50% it is almost completely out of juice.

No, I wasn't aware of that, but that has been my experience. It drops very fast near 50%. Maybe that was the case when I turned it off, it might be near dead. I'm definitely only getting about 5-6 hours out of a full charge which seems shorter than the 10 hours usually stated.

I'm still surprised that no one has posted about replacing the battery. I guess that's a testament to their lifespan.

If you do a search here for 'AK100 22Ohm Bypass DIY' post 10 tells you how to open the case and remove the battery.  There is no mention of type of or where to get one though.

Thanks for that. I may try opening it up.
