Yeah, it translates the words, but it doesn't seem to do sentence structure very well, does it? Of course, I don't know any other language, so I can't be 100% sure of how well it works.....lol

I also translated it to Danish to have a better idea of what it said. But yes the translation sucks :b

So, for those who can read that review in it's native language, is the AK100 good or what?

Wow didn't expect you on this early or late lol :P.
So the review points to the iriver having more clarity but the DX100 having a more convincing sound (more realistic)?

Yeah, I was also surprised. It looks small compared to the iriver h120.

Yes you can preorder with the release date on 27.10. for Japan.http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=en&prev=/search%3Fq%3Diriver%2Bak%2B100%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D748%26bih%3D472%26prmd%3Dimvnsu&rurl=translate.google.co.uk&sl=ja&u=http://www.fujiya-avic.jp/products/detail14429.html&usg=ALkJrhhTw6xmeFQz0DNpdNSPDFUssjj2nQ
But i am not sure if they ship international. Anyway they have a better price for booking, 49.800 yen ( original price 54.800 yen ).
Also noticed that you can book Hifiman Hm-901 from them.
At the risk of outing myself as an ignoramus: Who or what are Astell and Kern who lend their names to this? The presentations give the impression that I should go ooh and aah about Astell & Kern working on this, but I have never heard about them. Googling this name combination only leads me to pages about this DAP, and astellnkern.com belongs to Iriver.
Are these some renowned yet secretive entities? Or did Iriver come up with this double name, possibly to make it look like other expensive European brands with some heritage, i.e. Bang & Olufsen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and similar? If it is the latter, then I must admit I would find that a bit lame (although at least they picked real names, unlike atrocities such as Häagen-Dasz or Krug Baümen).

I know this is weird.....I have a brand new one fully charged for three days and have not turned it on. I'm scared!!!!!
LOL......I've had my share of quirky freezing software and don't want to go there again.
Then I hear about SQ....now 196GB....and if you just are patient its all good......just when I thought I was done, like Al Pacino....."They drag me back in"
Carrying two Clip+ or Clip Zip players will give you two card slots, around 24-32 hours of battery life, and cost you less than $100. Consider that two 2GB Clip+ players and a 32GB microSDHC card to put in each of them will cost you under $100 total.
