why not go to their brick and mortar store then? i think they probably could give you a loaner to try out, etc. i would definitely consider a "in store" purchase if you're that close.

Well, I would definitely consider it... except Chicago has much higher sales tax than Milwaukee. Erggg. Yeah yeah, I know... I need to decide already.

I don't think that I'm going to go back to that Audio Emporium store, simply because I would feel weird going there yet again with my equipment and not buying anything.

This might sound stupid, in the age of the Google search, but I'm having problems trying to find dealers within the USA that carry anything by Rega, Rotel, NAD, or Arcam (CD players that is).
Apart from NAD, I do not think that Rega, Rotel and Arcam sell anything via the Internet in the US.

Go Back!!

I'd call that Audio Emporium and talk to a salesman or maybe the same one you worked with before. Tell them your situation (specifically distance) and see if they can schedule a block of time for you to audition.
If the salesman knows anything, he/she should realize that for some people, it takes a few auditons to make up your mind.

I have a few Rotel components and have enjoyed them all.

Actually, I live literally 5 minutes away from Audio Emporium.

And I can go in there @ any time I want to and audition stuff. I'm now just going to wait until I get my Zu Mobius cable (and wait until they're burned in a bit) and then go back there. I actually was dealing with the owner himself when I was there. It's a very small operation, just 4 people. And they're closed on Mondays!

check them out if you want... www.audioemporium.com .
