In fact, after 3 days of burn-in, mechanical and brain, I can now comfortably listen to it unamped, is it the effect of burn-in? not sure but don't really care beyersmile.png

Welcome to the growing group that find the H-100s compatible with their ears! Others have described them much better than I ever could. They produce sound so effortlessly with such crisp clarity it is so enjoyable.

Thanks for mentioning your current amp status. What tips are you using?

I'm holding off on buying an amp for the moment. Some Comply T-200 and T-500s are on the way and I want to explore their affect first.

Gear mentioned in this thread:

Hey guys i dont know if im hearing this right? but the H-100 paired with fiio e6 line out actually adds more body to the overall sound.anyone in this thread with the H-100 and fiio e6 care to try?

I tried them with the E6, E5 and E11 an used my Burst phone, Fuze, Sony s and J3 and they still sounded to bright and to thin no matter what I used.  If some says I didn't have a good seal or didn't insert them deep enough is just wrong.

Hmm, yes. Definitely seal related issue here. tongue_smile.gif

Hey bud - I am using comply at the moment, the 200's, if I want some warmth added I use the T, if I want to hear as is, I use the TS, and during bedtime if I want to listen to it, I use the medium size so I can insert it deeper, otherwise normally during commuting and normal use, I opt to use the large size for shallow fit

Unfortunately silicone doesn't work with me, have been trying almost every silicone tips made on earth (UE's, hybrids', Vsonic's, MEE's, shure's, and monster's) as they give me unbearable sibilance and shrill

BTW - 200 will fit perfectly, and the 500 will be a tad too big, still fit but it will be loose

uuugh I got a few Tx500's showing up soon, so for sure the 500's will be loose hey... Guess I need to hit up the 200's .  Trouble is I'm not sure how the large fit if they end up too shallow and I order another set of 200's large also i wasted $.

Will wait and see.

First world problems

Just to confirm T500 do fit pretty decently, they might not be as tight as T200 but they don't wobble around and sit firmly enough.

Ok, I just could not wait any longer. These babies have about 120 - 150 hours on them and boy... When I first put these on I kept thinking how did I enjoy my W3 for so long that much... Seriously! This IEM cost me $140 and blows the W3 out of the water by a big margin and I paid $350 for those! All I miss now is the over the ear fit and angled jack but those are minor. I love a lot of music and cannot wait to keep listening to more from my S9 and 02/ODAC -> PC but I have just tried them for about 10 - 15 mins so far. So far all I have heard with these is some F&TM, Lana Del Rey, Asking Alexandria, Emma Hewitt, Armin Van Buuren and The Weeknd. All these genres of music are what I usually listen to and the H-100 is better than my beloved W3 for every genre! I honestly cannot believe it! I'm sort of a basshead and just had to slightly tweak the EQ for a slight bump in the lower bass region. It sounds amazing! And I just cant stop starring at the box it comes in! Truely amazing IEMs! Gotta get back to listening!

beerchug.gif I'm very happy for you, it's a big deal that you liked them,.

It's strange you know, because when people say these things it hard to grasp in words what we're actually trying to say. For example when a member says these. sound. AWESOME, AMAZING, it's because we really really mean it, words just aren't doing them justice properly on screen, for example take my quote here.

They're like a dream come true to me, lol. I have the biggest smile on my face right now. The transparent mid range is glorious! lol I tell you now though.... I've had more fun with these and my music experience than I had in eight months with all the other IEM's I owned. !

This wasn't just some hyped rant to attract people, it's because I really mean't it and was swept up in the moment .

Yeah I understand. I couldn't even describe or explain how good they sound honestly. Words cannot express how good they sound! Time to get rid of my W3 so I can save up for a beautiful HD650 :)

And just noticed, we have the same setup! Sounds awesome! Going to let these burn in a couple more hours after I stop listening to them... rolleyes.gif

What I am curious about ( not to discount your initial impressions- glad you like them ) is how do they perform on the ODAC/O2 combo?    Which one setup sounds best to you?

BTW if you want to try something interesting check out the new Hobbit Movie soundtrack with these, some parts are simply excellent, to put it mildly.

I managed to find a file but most are streaming this is no doubt simply a stream capture of that official stream release.

for the over the ear thing I found this link and posted it elsewhere also for a wider cable, should be fine for these, I might bite on them. This seller or other haven't looked too hard .

The 02/ODAC is a very neutral setup so pretty much the H-100s sound the same with/without it. I still prefer DAPs over PC -> Amp/DAC albeit the 02/ODAC sounds great its very transparent and clean.

Emma Hewitt still sounds a bit 'hollow-ish' to me, the BEST female vocal sounding to me is the 'heavier' female vocal like Nadia Ali or Susana L3000.gif

Depends on your canal size mate, mine is pretty large, generally for small IEM (UE700) I use large size and it will go deep, for large-body IEM, I have flexibility of using either medium for deep fit or large for shallow fit.

Even though the 500's are loose, make sure you press them deep enough so the tip-stopper ring on the nozzle go all the way through the middle of the tip core.

Yeah same here, my first and foremost preference is PC through E10 - simply put there is no weak point, even female focal sounds unbelievable.

Portable setup is ipod classic and iphone, through E11, some female vocal still sounds rather not good, particularly them with higher voice (like Mariah Carey or Celine Dion, even Emma Hewitt in EDM)
