Which foam tips exactly are you using. I have yet to try a foamy I know there's a bunch of different ones but it'd be nice to try what you are using

Welcome to Hyrbid technology. wink.gif

Yes, they're truly comfortable for me too, remind me a lot of wearing Monster Turbine. You should notice excellent speed in drum presentation partly from the BA. The bass goes without question, it's tight, deep and fast with an emphasis on deep. Not only in quantity but the levels of clarity and detail produced, Sub-bass has this wonderful ability of not overdoing the presentation or over pounding while penetrating deep into your eardrums. And best of all you can kiss bass bleed away entirely....forever.

Right now I'm using some cheap foam tips I bought from eBay, that require an inner core mod to fit the GR07 (and also these H-100). They are similar to the Sure Olives but without the rubber inner core. As their hole is too big to fit the GR07, I used the core from silicone tips (cutting out the flange) to make them usable. And I really like them! I'll try Comply Ts-400 later too...

Sounds like something similar to the Ortofons... discovered this fact yesterday. ph34r.gif

Still tempted to get some H100s though, to do a comparison. biggrin.gif

Was already offered the special price of $120, it's kinda eating me inside now. tongue.gif

I actually believe the opposite with these. I had thinner sounding treble and weird midrange until I put I. Foam tips and cut them off right at the nozzle which allowed me deeper Nd better sealed insertion. Every time I read this thread I do wonder if everyone is getting a proper seal and fit with these as I didn't like them until I did. I use the comply 400s . I shove em in as far as I can for a tight seal! I know this is starting to sound weird... Anyways if you're one of the people that feels the sound is distant or weird I'd recommend not using the silicone tips on these and checking out some foam.

Also I just got the jds labs c421 and I have to say a good amp will definitely help these out and provide the full experience with these. More on this later.

This is the sound you get from this with a lack of a seal. Everything sounds weird in these frequencies because they are not balanced out by the bass. WIthout a seal you will not get any bass let alone the awesome extension that these IEMs offer. I have a seal, i know this for a fact and from all the tips i have tried i am getting the best sound of these.

I used like 6 different styles of tips, perfect seal with each one. Results were the same.

The sub-bass is pretty impressive, right, putente?

I do agree to what was said about a good amp and whoever said this were source dependent. With my Objective 2 amp and D1 DAC these are a different little beast but this of course limits me to home use only. With a bright amp like my GoVibe VestAmp+, their detail becomes incredible but the treble becomes way to much and i am not that sensitive too treble, well not at all in fact.

PS Eke, i think you need to add spent to your sig ;)

Wow people, you are on same way experience in Golden Ears.

Many people discussed about mid-range frequency or bass problems.

In fact, most of problems are belong to wrong insertion or not matched silicon tip.

In my case, used Shure's middle size tip or Sony XBA sleeve tip.

Make silicon tip to perfect fit on your carnal or auricle.

Make it to no leaking.

Or just use Comply-Form tip.

Some people solved their leaking problem with that.

Cheers !

Be enjoy beautiful audio with H-100 !

And this is an another gossip.

One user - named in Golden Ears : NaNaNa....NaNa ... - announced H-100 is not coincide with Hi-Fi sound. On his criterion, JVC HA-FXT90 is Hi-Fi IEM. LOL !

Many users refute his criterion, but he never recognized.

Sometimes we want to call that Hi-Fi to My-Fi. ( Most of Asians are like rise bass. as like JVC HA-FX1X or FX3X .... monster bass ! )

Whatever what he was ... monsters are everywhere :)

I believe he is not in Head-Fi.

Ahhhh we were just making the same point in different ways swim!

I do think the tips that come with it don't do the headphone justice. It was hard for me to get a good seal any of them.

+1

I had a hard time to get a good seal with some of my favorite tips.  I have 3 that I can use with any IEM with, but they did not work on the H-100.

I kept changing tips until I used a Sony hybrid...and oh my, the sound improved dramatically.

I was getting a good seal with the other tips I tried, so that was not the issue.  I guess everything has to be just perfect for the H-100 to shine.
