My friend  trained under Okuda Atsuya. Missed his show here at the local hall last week I got the days mixed up frown.gif so I am reliving it now.

That was pretty cool, the wind and rain sounded a little peculiar though. But the different notes were catching the microphones and varying in width across the stage depending on how deep they were. cool.gif

^^ That's the kinda stuff they live and breath PMAP. Bass just slams hard, thrive for it.

If you can get this in FLAC it will test them. Best I've ever heard Burial.

Yeah not really my kind of music, even with these phones... But the previous ones were cool.

 

Anyway if someone doesn't like the wide U-shaped sound much, I found the MEElec short double/triple flange tips narrow it down quite a lot.  They sound like pretty normal earphones with these tips, heh. But it robs them of that TPEOS touch and makes them sound kinda bland metallic.

I want to make a comment on the soundstage, it really is quite wide but it feels like we have a gap in the middle. Just how I persieve it.

I notice a lot of depth variation in tracks as well. the centre channel tend to be quite dependant on a tracks cue's and accompany that depth.

For example some songs instruments are further back, then the next track they're forward.

I think I know what you're saying Swim, like they don't have an inner core to the centre channel?

I'll leave you guy's with EP (you can listen to it free) but worth the $3 what ever it is in FLAC. Treat you to sub-bass (it's nothing like burial)

Just got a pair.

 

All of the comments in this thread (both positive and negative) are playing games with my head.  I'm looking for some of the defects people keep mentioning instead of listening and enjoying the music.

 

It will take some time to really understand if this headphone is worth the price of admission.   So far, I think yes.  However, so far, I also think the GR07s and the TF10s are better (but not by much).

Well...50 hours of burn-in and time to return to the fray );

 

I don't detect much difference at 50 hours from 8 hours which may be because I couldn't stay away from listening to them whenever time permitted.

 

The H100's seem highly sensitive to the source, mastering and instrumental/vocal one is listening to as others have observed. Easily over 80% of my songs sound terrific to me but those that are poorly mastered or performed/recorded less well get no masking from these. I can live with that though.

 

I switched to the larger blue core tips and the bass is much improved along with seal and fit. This just adds to my enjoyment of these little jewels. I made a small rip in the first of the yellow core tips when removing it so be careful. Any suggestions on the best technique for pulling tips would be appreciated.

 

With my budget, along with music and sound presentation preferences...these are simply superb. I removed the Comply's and put the triple flange tips back on my Ety ER-4P's and listened to them awhile. They are truly great also but for now the set I reach for are the H100s. The brightness, extreme clarity and newly improved bass are gorgeous. Having the choice is nice.

Because the front page only has the ebay listing for H-100 people are becoming confused and overlooking where most of us are purchasing this Hybrid IEM.

The ebay member linked on the front page of this thread is charging roughly $178 US, we don't need to do that. By contacting the manufacturer directly you knock the price down to around $120 - $140 with EMS shipping included if you mention Head-Fi and this thread.

How do I do it?

1) Pick the Colour or model number you want (remember the entire series H-100 is the same / only the colours and rings are different) Same sound!
