Does anyone know if the Shure Olives fit the H-100 nozzle?

 

Having no success in getting a good seal with the silicons I've tried to date.  Have ordered some Comply T-500s and thought I'd also look into the Olives since they're mentioned in multiple forums for obtaining a good seal.

Yes, the Shure Olives won't fit unless you remove their rubber core. My favourite tips for the H-100 are the Comply Ts400...

Got these a few weeks ago,first decent iem,s,still new at this game,first impression with stock tips werent great,but come supplied were large grey soft tips which were a great improvement,electronic pop music sounds excellent from my sony x1050 and even better from the colorfly and BH amp combo,i use out 2 with no gain and lf and sf on!Does anyone have any idea what the grey tips are and were i can get more?cheers!!

Those grey tips you're talking about should be the new T-PEOS foam tips. They're really good, but my favourite tips for the H-100 are the Comply Ts400...

Hi ElephantAudio, I has the JVC prior to getting the H-100, and I've never looked back ever since. I find the soundstage of the latter much wider and taller. The details are better, and I enjoy the impact of the bass more too. So much so that I have been waiting for the H-200 ever since I received my H-100.

Hi digirato, I'm using the stock hybrid tips (blue, medium size). I find that they seal better than comply ts-400, but the latter is slightly more comfortable and still works well with the H-100.

Good as the100's are they are not as enjoyable to listen to as the JVC's. It comes down to priorities. The T peos is faster a bit more detailed and has tighter, snappier slightly more extended bass and a wider soundstage. But The FXT 90 has warm rich slightly forward midrange, sweet highs that are less sibilant, better depth and layering, a fuller mid and upper bass with a slightly musical coloration that works nicely with the midrange. On vocals and acoustic insturments it more effectively involves you in the music. You can argue about Rock and Electronic. Definetly better on Jazz. In the End its the TDK BA 200 that floats my boat does all of it with a bit more relaxed highs. But I can crank the 200's and they never shout, scream or lose their composure. I anxiously waited for the H 200's but I am keeping the BA 200's.

I do not have the pleasure of listening to the FXT90. But it is true that I find the midrange of the H-100 on the thin side. Having said that, I'm using mine with the Apex Glacier which brings the midrange forward; so it is quite bearable for me.

I also briefly heard the TDK BA200, and I agree that it has more relaxed highs. Personally, I prefer more sparkle in the highs.

Ultimately, it's always best to audition the iem you're interested in, but that may not always be possible since some models are not available in your country of residence and one can only rely on reviews and online shopping.

The other side, my experience of FXT-90 was so much filled in high and low freqs. like heavy V-EQ.

So I return FXT-90 to seller and money back.

Heavy V-EQ may damage your ears.

being a cheapskate - emailed swinwoo to see if they can 'trade in' my faulty B-100 and H-100 under warranty for H200 + cash on my side.

not really expecting a response, but hey biggrin.gif
