Do you know more about that amp you bought, like what opamps are used in the power stage and buffer? And what are those "LF" and "SF" switches at the back? popcorn.gif

All we have is a single thread with a couple of posts, and I've done some PM snooping with those members and ClieOS. I won't go into details what they said. I have no idea on the opamps or the power stage buffern popcorn maker, not a clue. I do however know the switches on the back adjust gain, bass boost, and a soundstage switch. Pretty much I know what's in that thread, ebay listing and a few PM msgs. C&C were well known on Head-fi a few years ago, but their international supplier at the time disappeared, but from a reliable member here their products are a respectable brand in China.

Here's the godly thread.

Ok, let's stop derailing this thread. Let me know how it is once you get it! I must admit I'm a sucker for portable amps these days, even if they never leave my desk at home... redface.gif

Wish I had the money to spend on with sources... Or even better, amps and headphones. Hows the sound compared to the C3/E5 combo?

Yes how about a quick little compare if not real world at least what you have read) with your new cc amp, e12 and maybe both the ibasso d-zero and jds c421. Sorry in advance for the quick de-rail.

How are these vs the mh1c? Also how much are these with the discount?

I don't think we're going off topic. We're talking about sources and amps for H-100. I think putente jumped the gun a little there hence my exaggeration. redface.gif

I'll be sure to let you guy's know how C&C BH sounds with H-100 (about a week away)

I spent some time with HM-601 AND H-100 last night from the headphone out on low gain. it's warmer more musical signature than Colorfly C3, with slightly rolled off treble, the stage isn't quite as wide though separation and ability to hear each instrument has an advantage because the layering is top notch, maintains clarity and detail in the mid range, I also feel H-100 expressed better micro detailing from the Hifiman. What makes 601 special is the low end, it's full, deep, plentiful with very good quantity while staying away from the mids. It surely brings out some of the nicest bass I've heard from H-100 without having to use any bass boost or EQ. I think C3 is the better player as I do prefer a colder, crisper sound, and it does give impression of being slightly higher resolution. Though if you prefer warmth while maintaining all the goodness 601 is a safe choice, I enjoy the presentation and almost Immediately "got the vibe" from it. There's plenty of power and won't pack up like C3 does once you hit over 33/40 with the T-Peos.

I've gone a little source crazy these past few weeks. I'd tell you how it sounds but I only listened for 20 minutes (waiting on the battery to charge) I was pretty impressed, especially from the fixed line out. I also have a new amp coming soon C&C BH Portable Amp which is being preffered by members over FiiO E11 and CmoyBB. 300mw + 300mw and 80 hours from a single charge. I'll be using this amp with Colorfly CK4+ and HM-601 line out features in coming weeks and will report my findings.
And of course still loving my H-100 dearly. It's lots of fun mucking around with different sources, tips, and amps!

Wow, what's this ?

Looks like a big man stuff for musics only !!! ( I love that shape ! )

Hifiman HM-601. with internal amp, able to drive full size headphones. smile.gif It's very nice sounding player, very musical, natural, gives an analogue sound over usual digital signatures DAP's have these days, slightly warm. Very good pairing with T-Peos H-100, very good timbre, separation, detailing levels, deep deep full bass punch, drives H-100 very loud, full sounding. Has two gain modes, high and low but high is not needed for H-100.

There must be something wrong with my ears than :-D I agree with bass but honestly its detailing level is on par with ipod video. Or maybe it is just agood pairing with T-Peos H-100, for all my analytical IEM it produced unsatisfactory synergy.

Glade her new owner is having a blast with her, I admired her beauty but from far away :D

Ah ha! But you haven't heard H-100 have you? wink.gif

It's working well here, Soundstage is what suffers with H-100 in width, this earphone has decent legs though 601 stops it short, it's a little congested, though synergy wise it's ok. I feel I'm achieving similar detail (mainly decay) as C3 or CK4+ around the mid range. But overall the warmth works well with H-100 crispness levelling out nicely. Only other slight downfall because of 601 roll-off H-100's usual treble extensions cut short, but that's what give 601 the sig. Clarity wise H-100 has bucket loads of it, I've said it can be to much with my Colorfly CK4+ so any warmth 601 apply's H-100 pushes on through nicely. I'm really enjoying it!
