best headphones for basketball and weightlifting

Hi I was trying to decide which headphones to get, I listen to a lot of rap and dub step music. I'm not much of an audiophile(yet) my best(only) headphones are Skullcandy heavy medals and v-moda remixes. I like a lot of bass but I do have a limit. I'm deciding between several headphones. My budget is $150-200. I'm stuck between 2 items, and 2 cans. VSonic gr07, ultimate ears tf10, sennheisers mm 500(Bluetooth), and sennheisers hd598. I play basketball everyday so portablilty is important so iems would be a good choice, but the mm 500 have no cords so they wouldn't get caught on anything or move. But I also am concerned about durability, and sweat-proof. I prefer over ear more than on ear so some smaller headphones would get annoying. Iems would be nice also because I can use them in school. I refuse to wear around neck/chinstrap Bluetooth headsets. Any ideas?

For basketball/sportsget a good and cheap iem, dont spend 100 bucks on something that could break easly while playing

For 25bucks or less get yourself a meelec m6, cheap, sounds good, bass is powerfull but not overthetop, comes with a bunch of normal and even triple flange tips, good cable, cable clip, the clear model looks like a more expensive iem. You dont need high end stuff for sports, just something sturdy with a decent/good sound, add a sandisk clip+ add a microsd and you got a very good and decent portable rig. All that for less than 70 bucks, or even less if you are a smart shooper.

If you want something almost exaclty like the m6 but with better sound, get the soundmagic e30, sounds better than the m6, thats 39 bucks, but they got better quality and sound.

I only listen to music when I'm just shooting around and basketballs almost never hit the top of my head. I was considering waiting for the tf10 black Friday sale to pick them up for $100, and get a custom cable for around $120, so I could use the stock cable while playing ball and using the custom when I'm off the court. I've never heard a ba driver so I'm kind of curios. But Bluetooth headsets are kind of convenient with the lack of cords

im using senn amperior for weightlifting now. b4 amperior ive used hd25 and some IEM

 

hd25 and amperior are tight on my head and good isolation.

 

and use amperior's short cable with ipod shuffle is real comfy.

Yeah. I don't listen to music in game so I'd only wear them when I shoot around. If the mm500 are durable and sweat-proof, then I'll get that, if not I'm thinking maybe the adidas hd25.I would prefer the amperiors but I can't find them for $200 or less. I'm usually playing a game so they're on the side and I use them at home and school. Amazon has mm500 refurbs for $201. Can anybody give more info on durability/sweat proof on the mm500?

Not really. I'm in high school and my only job is a voluntary job at a hospital. I sold my Bose earphones and saved my lunch money haha I got a little over $130 right now. In a month or 2 I'll have enough. I wish haha I'd pick up all 3

ok man, maybe i think diferent cause i am poor, and i wouldnt buy a 200 headphone for shooting some balls you know?. they can get "lost"  aka stolen while playing. why not something cheaper but with a good sound?

 

look man, theres is a thread about the new S400,  check it out, they are selling them on ebay for 30 bucks, dont be fooled by the price, they punch way above the price, there also is the S500 imported from japan,  man.. just check my signature, see al those headpones?  (yea, its not that they are the best, but are some of populars around here), the S500 sounds better than all of them  they use a new material called Carbon Nanotube, they sound awesome man, just check the S500 and 400 thread and you will see very positive reviews, even Tyll from Innerfidelity gave them a thumb up.

 

just check them out, you get a very good sounding HP and you got money left for some pairs of good bascket balls shoes, or even a extra bascket ball.

Look 10/15 bucks on phones for the gym, then if you want a set of the other stuff or not using in the gym fairplay.

 

best gym phone for me is the fx101 or 1x1, what ever is cheaper.  They are bass beasts as well.

Yea.  200 bucks for a HP for sports. man i am telling you man, you got to be rich.  in any case, if he wants a Headphone, the S400 is only 30 bucks.

Haha you guys have talked me out of it. I'm just gonna use my Skullcandy heavy medals for that(have been for a while). I've never owned any headphones over $80 so idk why think I'm rich haha still deciding what to get for non-gym use though. Just thought I'd see if there was any hi-fi that I could use the whole day without having to worry switching headphones and such:D and are amazon refurbs good quality? Its by a seller named "DAHMART"

Good choice mate as for you main phones if your still looking rap and dubstep.  I just got a shot of the xb90ex the other day, there is discussion about it on the deals thread, but what I can tell is after an hour with them i bought them lol  the bass is just insane (quality and quantity wise)  they are also a stunning looking bit of kit, only available from japan right now as far as i know, but saw accessory jack is carrying them.

Hmm they look pretty awesome but the warranty is only valid in japan. Does it have removable cables? My headphones always break on me cuz of cables
