Sure mate, anytime. Hmm, no... I'd say the V is probably a little deeper in the SA950i. But the nature of that V is different, and that's the main crux of the change. Whereas the MA350 has a more symmetrical V, the SA950i is much more like a reversed/flipped square root symbol. Depending on what you are listening to (i.e. something with delicate highs vs. something with harsher highs), the highs (and upper mids) will sound either veiled or smoother.
The elevated LF response is absolutely terrific for public transit though, as it nicely compensates for the LF rumbling from modern life/machinery.

That would be pretty spot on. In fact, given that the seal isn't very air tight, I'd have to say that these are surprisingly bassy - without the level of bloat that one would usually associate with bassy cans. I'd suspect that is due to the titanium coated drivers.
But the take home message would be, no the SA950i are not analogous to the MA350. If I'm to be honest, I would love to find a pair of closed supraaurals that sound like the MA350, as that is one spectacular set of universals.

Sorry mate, got me there. In fact, I'd never even heard of them. What are those like?
