Headphone adapter? Did you mean amplifier?

Oooook. My headphone jack broke. I decided a line out dock connector and a fem2fem headphone adapter rather than paying to get it fixed. I plug my headphones into the adapter and I can hear the music just fine, but there's no volume bar.

Buy a fiioE6 to control the volume.

 

The volume bar isnt there when you use line out, as line out bypasses the internal amp, hence you need an external amp.

 

Cheap but good options are the Fiio E6 and Fiio E11.
