Hi, TiEx

Thank you for your question, The Chip is not the key to effect the final sound quality, just as our STUDIO V  and other palyers, We stress that the sperior sound quality comes from the overal circuit design than not one or some components.

So regard to the sound quality, I would like you to consult to rest users who have been using Hisound's players.

Nova's sound quality also will be keeping at high standard.

Thanks.

Just thought I'd clear up some confusion about the Nova and it's storage.

I was curious to whether Nova supported micro SD Cards because I hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere in the specs or through out the threads.

So just to clear everything up I emailed Hisound and we have confirmation Nova does not support any external storage.

It is limited to 8GB of internal memory only.

Apart from the extra power Nova claims to offer and with Colourfly C3 supporting micro SD it probably makes C3 a better option for audiophile based members who rely on FLAC and high amounts of memory. I'm glad I took the C3 now, as I was about to purchase Nova however, no expansion is a deal breaker I'm sure for many of us.

sadly it is a deal breaker for me as well

With today's players and standards apart from ipod and Sony who deliberately avoid such features I think consumers expect these advantages without question, especially in the audiophile world. It's a huge part of what sells a DAP. One of the things that made the Clip+, J3 so popular is their advantage of external storage. Micro SD support is a major selling point and disappointing when disabled. Without going to far off topic. Once Nova goes fullprice Colorfly C3 is $50 cheaper (online) and supports expansion I mean?? I know the power and specs are different but still, It does arise a few questions on what Hisound was actually thinking when designing Nova.

Maybe their next portable model shall support such a feature?

Agreed. That is why I was so excited. I assumed it was 8 GB of internal + external expansion slot. It was too good to be true.

Oh, this is a Cube C60 (more or less)

Unfortunately,  NOVA is Nova, not other player. If some one think some other players has some specified  feature, you can just go to there. I have stress many times that NOVA is a slime, affordable player with excellent sound quality.

If you are looking for the excellent sound quality, consider NOVA, if you are looking for other function, Please consider this models have the function you need.

We welcome you to use NOVA to compare any rest players in term of sound quality. We can't directly tell the conclusion, But it is very cheap one , especially  at the promotion price,  even if you think Nova Has some thing not satisfied, you can still easy to sell it again. you will have no much loss.

But if you miss an excellent player with the minute compromise, it is your really loss.

I have stressed so many times, SOUND QUALITY and Price  is Nova's  Priority. If don't consider the sound quality, .there is no thing can be comparable with any rest players.

there are so many players with the price of USD 30 OR Less in China, why not mention them?

Question:How many folks will be interested in above product with the following features

1)8 GB, no SD:Price 149 USD

2)16 GB, no SD: Price 249 USD

3)32 GB, no SD: Price 339 USD

4)64 GB, no SD: Price 449 USD

5)32 GB, SD:Price 380 USD

etc

Thanks audionewbi's suggest,

It is very good opinions.

We have not annaunced the N3, so, We have time to listen your suggestions.

It seems your suggestion price range is reasonable.

The only thing we are afraid, our products will be sold by many distributors ---- dealers.  even if our cost increase 30 dollars, the final retail price could be increase to be very high.( all parties profits and tax, tariff ). if it is only sold by our webstore , it will keep very low. This is why our N1 have to apply the smaller memory capacity.

Any way, it seems the problem can be solved by increasing the final retail price and increasing the memory.

Thanks.
