Agree re the Beats looking better than these Denons, but thats like comparing a minivan with a Yugo - its hardly Ferrari v Porsche ..... 

 

OT, our 'GMA clone' morning show snagged Pink for a couple of live tunes to bolster their abysmal ratings, and have dragged in an audience of mums and homogenous teens - standard fare for the likes of Justin Bieber. Some of Pink's lyrics seem a little adult for this audience, but its good to see that she doesn't have to tone it down as she would have had to for the same audience in the US. Pink is a consummate live performer, but poorly suited to this format, IMO.

Partially agree (not all of the Beats)....I hate the Solos for one. The AD-600 isn't so bad. The Beats are definitely better looking than the D400.

It's like Denon thought the Sony R10's look accounted for sound and tried to create a test tube baby from them and Beats.

I should be getting the D600s in a few weeks. 

I'll take pics and you can judge how they look then.

All this talk and talk and talk is annoying me, so I just got them. 

If nothing else, for the sake of showing.

It's too funny how ideas about something get moved from person to person without actual experience with them.

Cut us some slack, Amigo - the vast majority of the criticism has been based on photos taken, presumably, by professional photographers working for Denon's marketing arm, If you want to buy headphones simply to stop people criticising them, I would refer you to the decades of crap that Grado lovers like myself have endured for Grado's insistence on sticking with a traditional and minimalist design.

I find the sennhiser momentum, p5, x1/L1, and even the Sony md1r cooler looking. But that's just my opinion.

If they kept the old Denon line I would have got one, but they don't sell it anymore in my town. Heard rumor that some other company many the Beryer are making a line similar to the old Denon. Don't know if it true or not.

Denon didn't make their previous headphones, Fostex did. The D1000 still exists as the Creative Aurvana Live! (it's the same Fostex), but the other two (D2k/5k) I don't know about. They may or may not see life again.
