Sorry guys, I wonder where you got that news? eek.gif

The warranty should be:

30 days refund: shipping cost is not refundable.
1 year replacement: Customers will pay shipping cost.

@Eric,

How much of a discount are we talking here? biggrin.gif

We totally understand your situation, dude. smile.gif

Besides, the discount we offer depends on how presious the ideas you can offer us in advance. biggrin.gif

Probably, we can offer a beta set of our new products such as headphones & high-end players if you can give us a review on that stuff afterwards.

Sounds good?

Thanks.

For North America, probablly at the end of Oct. or Nov.

If cash allowed, you can get a 801 before the 901 coming out.atsmile.gif

After all, there is a bit of difference between them. Besides, the 901 is NOT a complete successor of 801.

As I know so far, the 801 is more like a portable player. And the 901, oops, secret...biggrin.gif

I can say both are wothy the money you gonna pay.

Unless you mean us actually physically modifying the stock grills (like drilling into it or something crazy) rather than making whole new ones to replace them (which is what I'm doing), then yeah. But most people interested in this grill issue are hoping for entirely new grill mesh material.

E.g. check out the grills I made myself, which I currently have on my HE400s:

Of course I have the stock grills safely stored away.li

Amazing pic!

I meant that pysically modifying the stock grill would be more likely to destroy the whole structure or something unseen lik frequency response.

Anyway, the defective could be returned to us for replacement if the original part is still kept safe.

And we sitll glad to do the service as always.wink.gif

Offer us what we need to improve any of our products.

In return, we will make a tempting discount for you.

Fair? cool.gif

I am pretty sure that at the time of purchase I bought this earphone partly because of the 3 years warranty. I shall write down the excerpts from other members post testifying the same:

Hi Eric.... I recently bought a Hifiman EF2A to use as a DAC/amp with my HD-598. I really like it but a small problem is that it has too much gain and by the time I get rid of channel imbalance, the volume is really high. Is there any way to reduce the gain on this? Would it perform with lower gain on higher impedance headphones?

I have already asked this in another forum.....Do you think reduction of volume digitally from the laptop will lead to a huge loss of quality?

Hey dear, I just contact our manager on this replacement issue. What I got from him is that we never had that 3ys warranty since the company set up. confused_face.gif

So I doubt the reality of that info. you got from that thread. Or could you contact that person you got that info from, again?

However, if you need help for your earbuds, contact us. And then we gonna try to help you out for free if possible. Sounds good? wink.gif

Hi dear, we already realized the too-much-gain issue. However, you may not expect this amp to fit every headphone you own. Just because the EF2A has much more gain and channel imbalance issue than other amps, you could choose some other headphones which are more fit with the EF2A. In fact, the EF2A is really a nice device which is small, cheap, attractive, and sturdy. You will not get disappointed at what you got. beyersmile.png

Besides,  if you're willing to cut the volume on your source by half, then the EF2A probably plays nicer with those headphones.

Nothing's wrong with my earphones. I take great care of my audio gears.

Thanks for checking out.
